The best solution is to use a speech recognition program, like key speech or VAC.

If you have rudder pedals there’s a registry fix that removes the twist rudder axis and makes the micro stick function as 2 axis that you can then map in the advanced control setup.

Well actually, the force transducers are in the stick base. Its been done, seen a few thread of it on viperpits. Apparently you want to remove most of the windings on the transducers unless you are up for high voltage power for the stick. Anyway you would only need the FSSB if you were going to put it on a warthog or cougar base, and why would you?

No need to modify anything in a real stick. Here is a link to my pit project where I integrate a real SSC, throttle and rudder pedals to work with BMS. It’s not hard at all.

Hi!
I just got back into bms and I’ve been trying to set up my joystick for 2 days now. Because my joystick has quite a limited number of buttons on it, I want to use saitek’s software to map certain button combinations as shifted key-presses on the keyboard. These are my combos so far:
pinkie sw. + HAT up= TMS up (shift+home)

HAT down = TMS down (shift+end) HAT right = TMS right (shift+pg down) HAT left = TMS left (shift+delete)
I did the same thing for DMS (trigger+HAT). The only combinations that won’t work are DMS down and TMS down. For some reason, the simulation just won’t register these two combos from the stick (even though they work perfectly in the options menu). They work when I press them on the keyboard, but it glitches on the stick (it should be the same thing, cause saitek’s software simulates keyboard presses). Oh and I also tried to remap DMS down to SHIFT+ARROWDWN and it does the same thing. Is there any way to do button combos in any other way?
If anyone knows a fix or had a similar issue, please reply cause it’s been two days and I still haven’t found a solution and I’m pulling my hair out 😄 . Thanx for reading and fly safe! Also, Here’s a screenshot of my profiler, so you can better understand what I’m trying to explain.

I have two 15 pin analog gameport Thrustmaster F-16 FLCS/TQS stick and throttles. One set is still in the original Thrustmaster boxes.

Has anyone been able to convert their analog 15 pin joystick and throttle to USB using a adapter?

Here is the adapter I have on order to arrive they say next Friday. A week from now. There are others available but this one had the most settings for different sticks.

i just wrote a tool to map keys from a second keyboard to any keyboard command (macro, shortcut, whatever).

Its called multi keyboard remapper http://www.2112design.com/blog/multi-keyboard-remapper/ and its free.

Its works great with falcon and DCS and should work fine with any other windows ap.

Hi, I still have some weird behaviours with my joystik: Saitek X-52 with Win10.
I am not sure if also in 4.32 the situation was the same because I have never done it in MP (abroad for a job).

When playing solo, the DMS commands work correctly.
When in MP, in flight, after few minutes, DMS and sometime pinky and NWS/AP DISC stop work and I am not able to manage the MFD’s.
Of course, I am able to switch button with mouse but DMS AFT to change SOI is not possible.
Yes, I can use the keyboard but it is not useful while in combat.

I would like to give this a try but I want to be sure about procedures:

PROBLEMS

Joystick is losing control or behave weirdly in the game, instantly or after a while playing.

SOLUTIONS

As I said in the beginning, this (for me) could only be solved by never using the profiler program ever again.
Make sure to clear the profiler from any profile you may have made.
This will stop this problem.

Just to be sure… do this mean I have to assign the command with DX assignment directly inside Falcon-SetUp-Controllers?

Hi all I love Falcon 4 BMS and the amazing attention and detail that went into it and want to show my appreciation by saying a big Merry Christmas and Thank You all who made it possible and got it where it is today.

Loved trying to figure out the BMS keystrokes file took ages but well worth the study.

On a side note:
I also enjoy flying helicopters in Arma 3 as well…

I was thinking about attempting at utilizing the modular layout of the BMS Keystrokes file made by Kolbe – to help configure a keyboard map layout for that sim as well. Curious has anyone else tried this before?

I guess the specific aspects of the Key File that would be useful would be:
Creating a Custom Keyboard Editor Viewer in list form with Duplicate Binding Detection & Warning
Integrating Track IR default Commands
Integrating Fraps
Integrating 20 or more custom keyboard commands that dont overwrite previous commands.
Creating a printable keyboard Layout.

This is what I gathered… a rudimentary layout is already created but not sure if I can find a way to load the controls file into Kolbe’s Excel File.

And that the Arma Controls file is Not compatible but If somone could show me how to manually enter the Controls in a compatible form format to the BMS Keys file

I still use the Logitech 3D Pro. It doesn’t break, its potentiometers usually lasts for years (at least with a touch of added deadzone), and with the pinkyshift you get 22 buttons and another hat-switch (although, I have the shifted hat doing the same as the unshiftet to avoid confusion). It’s not great for transportation (no detachable parts, etc), but if you’re able to bring it, it’s probably one of the best “light” sticks out there. I find that the spring strength is the best amongst the various sticks I’ve owned (none of which have been HOTAS), providing great precision.

EDIT: Aaand I now notice you’ve already bought the T-flight. :rolleyes: Still though!

I’ve been watching Warthog HOTAS prices for literally years. Finally walked into Micro Center last week and they have it on sale for $299.99 through December 20! I grabbed one and have been beating my brains out trying to sort out all the options as I came from a lowly but surprisingly serviceable Saitek X-36.

Terrible Joystick

Finally I’ve sussed out the BMS Key File Editor, there’s a useful Youtube link that’s in 2 parts, the narration is in Greek but there’s English subtitles so it’s fairly easy to follow - I’d highly recommend it (

) – having created a profile which I’m happy with I’ve encountered the following problem:

I’ve mapped Man Range Up (SimRangeKnobUp) & Man Range Down (SimRangeKnobDown) to my X52 HOTAS mouse wheel, I also have the Radar Elevation mapped to the rotary by my thumb however this was accomplished via in game settings menu – both work really well in A2A mode.

The problem I have is when switching to A2G, strangely the mouse wheel function no longer changes the FCR range like it does in A2A, instead it does 2 functions – first it zooms the TGP which I’m OK with however it also slews the ground radar elevation at the same time, is this normal behaviour only if I zoom the TGP in & out too much it changes the radar’s elevation so it’s either looking straight up or down and that totally messes up the returns!
