Hi The problem was solved by uninstalling the SST program and driver, then letting Windows 10 reinstall a generic driver. Since then, all buttons are DX-recognized.

@311Blade well, the monitor I use with Helios is a touchscreen, so technically I can touch the controls with my hands. I know, it’s not exactly like clicking a physical button, but the Helios profile is so refined and functional that it offers possibilities I couldn’t achieve with an ICP alone Ciao! -=CyB=-

@xellophane oh you may be on to something there The files are ID’d by DirectInput device id, which can sometimes change, on Windows, when moving USB plugs around… different hubs etc. Haven’t heard of this being a problem on wine, but I haven’t tested it myself

@Mauricio-Sipmann Could be. I had heard some versions of Windows only support a single language, but I thought it was limited to WSR, not MSP. Sorry, not much help here. Let me know if you figure anything out.

@McMush79 Let me take a different approach from the others — what is your budget? What is your “luxury spend” each month/quarter/yearly? I firmly believe that a good bit of kit will be cheaper in the long run and the more reliable it is, the less frustration you will have, and you will spend more of your free time enjoying your hobby rather than fixing stuff… unless the fixing stuff is also a hobby. Do note that I know people can fly BMS with a Playstation/Xbox controller. People can fly BMS with a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. What will work for you will depend on your budget and preferences. If you are sure that this is a hobby for you, then why not “buy once, cry once” and get the best you can get your hands on? Even if it turns out it isn’t for you or you move on to other things, I would think selling off a FSSB setup would go faster than selling a 2nd-hand Logi Extreme 3D Pro. Don’t get me wrong and don’t think I’m loaded or anything. My own personal journey started with that very Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, then a hiatus, then TM WH, to a Virpil WarBRD base, to a FSSB base, to a FCC3 base, but I also upgraded as my budget/luxury spend increased. @McMush79 said in Suggestions for HOTAS...: Main concern = ability to performmajority of in-flight tasks- w/minimal keyboard use and ability to adapt as I add to my setup. Take a look at Helios and a touchscreen. For the longest time, I’ve used this profile and the main idea is zero need for mouse or keyboard use once in the 3D cockpit. Pair it with a decent set of headphones/mic and a voice control software like this one and of course head-tracking like TrackIR and you’ll be very well set for an immersive experience. Hope that helps and gives you some ideas!

@Icer Well, that confusion/frustration is just part of the learning process and you only go through it once or twice, but will benefit you each time you fly, so it’s a very cheap price IMHO, considering the added immersion of using physical switches correctly mapped.

I also bought Sebastian’s ICP and you need to add 4lines in your key file [image: G8gOGWi.png] I followed the instructions mentioned here this document has been a revelation : the explanations are clear FYI: the order of lines is important if I remember well

I finded bms has updated support for the xbox controller in the latest version, Would it be possible to make the camera control of the right stick of the controller be similar to warthunder? In dogfights, the camera automatically returns to the center, which is very useful and efficient. thx.

@Sharpe there is a SDK available here: https://docs.elgato.com/sdk/plugins/events-received so generally speaking, it’s just yet another keyboard that could send and receive stuff. Rotaries included. Just needs someone to implement it, if one wants feedback on the buttons.

@ravenlost It is very simple software. With Joystic Gremlin you assing buttons from real joystick to vjoy virtual joystick and system think that you have one more device. Also you can create additional curves and deadzones for axis. But you can try simple assign your Hat [image: VHfBkP0.png] [image: QD66wMO.png]
