PROBLEM SOLVED!!

language/ region setting has to be set to English (US).

On my new rig I had set the language to English (UK), that’s why it didn’t work.

I’ve modified mine a little.
So I can easily change the callsign with Notepad++ (Ctrl+h and replace all instances)
If you want you can send me yours and I can have a look.
Otherwise you can use mine with some adjustments in the keybindings.

The Windows-only audio speech recognition programs, they all use the same speech recognition libraries so they’re all equal in quality.

Any issue report or suggestion is welcome, brother. I will find a time to write a command summary to go with it, but for the time being one can use edit menu to see the commands.

I should think you’d want to map as an on/off action - that would save keystrokes - such that UHF or VHF on would invoke voice command, and UHF or VHF off would command cancel. Similar to how Dogfight (and Speed Brake?) switches work.

I wonder if you can help me. I purchased VA back in February '17 and have just gotten around to loading it up. In addition, I’ve loaded your profile which works fine in Voice Attack. However, in game (Falcon BMS 4.33) nothing happens when I activate listening. I’ve set my Paddle on my Warthog FCS to trigger listening. I’ve read the VA manual several times trying to learn if I missed something. It suggests that you trying standard or DX settings, but I don’t know how to change the items. Your advice would be appreciated.

Hi m8, first thing to check: where are you sending commands?
It should be set to ‘Active Window’ or you can send them explicitely to BMS window by binding it to the profile in the ‘Profile Options’ when you edit it.
If this doesn’t work, as suggested in VA screen every time you fire it up: ‘If you are having trouble with key presses, try running as an administrator’.

depends on how you define well.
Example: If you teach your voice library the term ‘request picture’, then voice attack will obviosly recognize that term. However, in a multiplayer, you call out the AWACS callsign, your callsign and then the request. 'Chalis1 request picture could be an option, but as soon as you say ‘Chalice 1 your callsign request picture’ VA is lost.

Kansas, there is another option. I did edit my VAC profile for wingman and such to “two,…”, the tower ones to “Mother,…”(I fly the Hornet,mainly) but didn’t want to do it for the AWACS ones. I wanted to use whatever callsign the Sentry is using for that mission.
So, I have taken to giving the call sign,then my call sign, stay silent for a very brief pause, then give the VAC command. VAC will still work with the proper pause, and the “immersion effect” is there. Give it a try. Getting used to inserting the proper length pause becomes natural very quickly.

I have updated the Voice Attack Profile for BMS 4.33. This profile includes all 194 radio calls in game and uses the call out as presented in game, (save the odd tweak). In the package you will find a readme.txt, an HTML of the commands and the profile. Feel free to tweak them as you wish. If I missed something I am happy to make the change. Enjoy.

Just wanted to drop a quick thank you. This week I finally got around to installing VA, with your profile. Works perfectly

It was added in later in 4.32 IIRC.

Hey Shadow, Headset is good no problem with it on other computer, BMS just operates extremely slow so I don’t use it for BMS, using my 2nd computer anybody having the same experience?

Yeah I am using VAC (Voice Activated Commands). I started digging around in the docs and there is three options for PTT. I can’t remember which one I had it on as I am not at my GamePC at the moment, but I had it set on the third option. The option that I changed to is the 1st option labeled “DEFAULT”. I guess I misunderstood what the options did when I set it up, but now VAC is only running commands while my PTT is depressed. Very nice.

Also, I bought a new PC with Windows 10 Pro this week and speech recognition was garbage. So, I did the Windows 10 speech recognition training that is in the Windows control panel and now it’s working like a dream again.

Thanks for all the help. It appears that you have to wait till the trial is done or there is some file in one of the folders to click on. The company got back to me on it. I guess they assumed that people would use the full 30 day trial before trying to buy a license.

Hi guys, attempting to use Keyspeech for game. I purchased the program, Opened c\programs x86\Keyspeech to place email license into .exe file, but there are 20 (+) files in there, and only 3 folders, of the three folder none are marked .exe (files). The only file marked .exe is the Keyspeech .exe and it is a application file if opened it goes to Microsoft Visual Studio. So I have a email that says place it in the same folder as the Keyspeech .exe file but, which file is the question. Do I try to open it and read it (program unknown) or just place the email at the bottom of the stack and the program/.exe will read it. I’ve written the developer but no answer to question so, for all that have gotten Keyspeech to work i.e. installed the email license could you pass along a few clues as to how to install the license key sent with the email to get Keyspeech to accept it and start working.
