Nevermind, fixed it. It was caused by a developer option. As soon as I disabled “Don’t keep activities”, the app registered again the settings .

I dont know if i am in the right forum section for this if not sorry.

For p3d i got the logitech / saitek screens
(The ones with push buttons on the right side, i forgot the serie name for it)

For p3d i mostly need a program called spad.next
To use the 3 little screens to work with dlcs like pmdg 737 or 747’s

I am curious if these screens can work with falcon bms.

@bvt_9 The version of the profile doesn’t determine the speed of extraction of the MFDs, the extraction rate was improved for Helios version 1.6.5000.0 but as you’ve discovered this is system dependant. The general feedback I’m getting on this is that for systems with faster processors there is little or no difference between Helios and RTT but for older systems there is still a difference. If your system specs are up to date then your Intel Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz might account for the difference between Helios and RTT.

Good to know Linknet, my profile is all hacked from the main Ice 4.35-10 profile. I took the Map and control buttons and placed them on the right edge of my "Monitor #1 (7860x1440) , placed gauges on the bottoms of my two MFD monitors, and use RTT (through Helios now of course) to display the MFDs… works great!

Saved me from asking the same question… Got an ASUS VT168H Touchscreen on a networked Win7 pc, hoping to use Helios to connect it to the main BMS pc as I had one back in the day with YAME64. Issue I had with YAME64 was having to tap a touchscreen button (like MFD OSB) twice to get it to register, every button, every time. Really hoping that I don’t run into that same issue with Helios (like finding out it’s a Windows issue with no workaround, or something).

The Ice Profile 4.35-10 works fine with U3.

Some areas don’t work with the latest Helios 1.6.5013, there’s a bug in it - the next Helios version will fix that.

It sounds like your keyfile is the problem, try going through the setup guide again.

If you normally use a Non-US keyboard it is essential that you implement the changes outlined in the Non-US Keyboard Guide.

I copied Ice’s MFDs panel but they are locked together and I can’t figure out how to separate them so they can be moved or resized individually.

The Left and Right MFDs are on the same panel, so to achieve what you want you need to copy each MFD to a separate panel. So create two extra panels sized according to one MFD then select all of the items for the Left MFD on the original panel and copy and paste them to the new LH panel. Do the same for the RH and copy to the new RH panel. You will now need to crop the background images to the new size and add to the new panels.

In previous versions they all used to have a square bezel which was hidden by the front panel image.

However the latest versions don’t have the square bezel and all the dial images are circular as shown in the previous post by oakdesign. They all just have a thin circular border which is part of the dial image. They’re all on panels just for convenience to group the dial and needle(s) together but there isn’t an image mask on the panels to hide any of the dial.

The border is only 5 pixels wide but if you really want to remove it then you would either have to create an image mask or edit the image.

Finally got a restore point to hold. While I’ve only tested in MATRIC because it was the quickest to reinstall and the developer was also trying to help, it seems that its the running as administrator was the issue! I edit the shortcuts to do that so I don’t have to remember to do it later on and then I forget to do it with new stuff 😄

Hi folks,

this isn’t exactly touchscreen related but I was wondering if anyone can help me with this issue. I recently had to hard-reset my lenovo A10 android tablet which I’m using for charts and for komurcu’s excellent MFDE server / client for android.

Following the hard reset, the A10 turns on normally, I was able to connect my tablet google account on the device and everything seems fine. However when I try to open the google play store to install some needed apps (dashmeter pro for rfactor2 and some other helpers), All I see is the grey play store app and the circle of death that never finishes.

The tablet runs Android 4.2.2 at the moment and the system check claims the software is up to date. I suspect that the “generic” play store version is too old to make a connection to the google play store, so I was wondering if there’s maybe a way to “sideload” a newer version of the google play store so I can bootstrap the rest of the system that I had on the tablet before. Of course it might be a completely different issue altogether… it’d be a shame if I had to scrap a perfectly working tablet just because of this “tiny” issue. 😞

I’ve played around a bit using Gimp to change the Front Console to have a blurred “more natural” background:

I’ve made two versions: one for Helios only extraction and one where the MFDs are RTT extracted.
For those who like it, the required images (4) are attached.

Are you using a US keyboard. If not you need to setup up English as a secondary Keyboard language in order to get Helios to submit all keystrokes correctly.

If you ha e another keyboard / OS layout you can look up in the ICE profile documentation how to setup US keyboard as secondary. Won’t affect your normal usage only Helios is relying on that

The DataAutoUpdate should take care of all of the map scaling adjustments for 64 vs 128 segment maps. The maps are all 4096x4096 but the 64 segment maps are 1024x1024 km whereas the 128 segment maps are 2048x2048 km if I remember correctly. So no maps to avoid they should all work unless I’ve missed any more entries in the look up table in which case I’ll just update it again. It’s no big deal to update it.

Thanks brother, now I can get back to hacking up this Profile to create the small bit I need to project. I like that big Map that pops up with the “Map” button may try to keep that alongside the CPD on my main screen…

This was a keyfile issue, the Saitek X52 profile already contained a “BMS - Full.key” as well as the X52 profile so when this was pasted on the end of the “BMS - Ice’s Helios Profile.key” the “BMS - Full” callbacks overwrote the “Ice’s Helios Profile” callbacks.

Depending on the settings in Windows for tablets tap and hold is usually set to simulate right mouse button click.
Spacedesk doesn’t emulate mouse button hold by tap and hold.
Therefore only #3 As suggested is the way to simulate a press and hold with Helios profiles
