@Cobra55305: Is there a keyboard list by function? It would look something like this: Flight Controls: G landing gear down Ctrl G landing gear up etc. Navigation: A autopilot etc. Views: 1 HUD etc. I think it would be easier to find the correct key for a beginner and a casual user like me. Check your docs folder. All of the included keyfiles are organized by panel location, which for the most means organized by function. OTW (Out the Window) commands are functionally grouped in these keyfiles. x:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Docs\Key Files & Input

Surely its nice to have the cheaper options guys… If I choose to get these printed at least now I have several options to choose from, that can’t be a bad thing…

@l3crusader: Nope. Switching between standard Maverick lock and Area correlation is done with TMS-Right. TMS-Left does change display mode (White Hot, Black hot, or TV whenever available on Mavs or TGP), but in this paragraph, we are talking about a change of tracking mode for the missile. So this sounds stupid, but is there a way to increase the left margin of BMS docs? I’m trying to print the airport radio charts in KTO_AIP_433.pdf, but I don’t seem to be able to increase the left margin, playing with the print dialog options in Acrobat Reader I either get small tables in the middle of the page, or big tables with too small left margins. I’d like to have big tables with big left margins… ideally. Any ideas?

I hope this was noticed? It’s not really my opinion, but rather direct instruction from the -1 that I’m trying to draw attention to here. Just want BMS to have the best and most accurate documentation it can.

You report using MAN but there is no MAN option. There is a MAIN option on the left knob. That may be your problem For MaNuaL frequency to be active you must use the right knob out of PRESET to MNL Dash-1 p24 As you said, “That may be your problem.” Exactly, that was my problem. Along with your new Spotlight and your insightful advice, I can see clearly now that the label on the Backup UHF panel is Main, not Man. Now it works for me, too. I’ll join the BMS Falcon pilots from the whole world to say thanks for ALL of the monumental results you produced for all of us.

Hehe… sorry about that. Yeah, I noticed most of the threads now say “feedback.” I was wondering if I may make a request to whoever updates the manuals. Would it be possible to highlight which changes have been made and on which pages? Again, the reason for this is because I want to print out the manuals and if I know which pages have been changed, then I can just print out those pages and insert them in the appropriate place in my printout, that way I’ll always have an up-to-date printed manual and without wasting entire forests of paper. I’ve given myself a treat with the release of BMS 4.33 and bought a new color laser printer that prints on both sides automatically (the old one was manual… ugh!!) so I’m looking forward to rebuilding my library. Thanks!

@Red: Hello bacon8tor, I’ll move this into the documentation room. First I’d like to state that if anything is planned with the BMS content * that’s manual included, but especially manuals - we would appreciate to know about if beforehand. The manuals represent countless hours of work and we are not done with them. They are WIP and will probably be updated with the forthcoming updates. Most of the manuals are already available online as PDF (see the manual link sticky topic) So they are always accessible from the web already Most of the mobiles can read PDF nowadays and since the manuals are WIP we don’t want these specific interface to be done right now as they will need to be updated shortly and forgive me to say we can’t control anyone presence and motivation to update that interface in the future alongs our official manual updates. So such ventures at this point present a high chance for us to have different versions of the manuals online in different state of completeness. Something I’m sure you’ll appreciate we prefer to avoid. Also your page is titled: Bacon’s falcon 4.33 Manuals. I’m sorry but did you write these? cause the titles seems to imply tou did? No I didnt , and I didnt mean for it to come off like I did. I just removed the site. Wanted to contribute a ittle something liek the BMS flight bag APP , but that hasnt been updated since 2012. I deleted the site. @Blu3wolf: Whats wrong with the existing online source for the manuals and checklists at http://www.combatsimchecklist.net/F4download.htm ? The website was made in like 2000, its pretty boring and unappealing, I appreciate what all the devs did to make the game new. Maybe we should start looking at all the other features. Just cause its not broke doesnt mean you cant fix it. it would be nice to be able to view the PDF online instead of having to Download it.

@Frederf: I think so it is a rename: SEAD -> DEAD SEAD Escort -> SEAD Alert -> QRA Sweep -> SWEEP This kind of thing. Correct! with some code changes for better behavior in weapon load/choice and employment. Still not 100% perfect since F4 is an eternal WIP
