My own settings. Mind you, my PC isn’t the best in the world, so I don’t have everything set up as such. The only NVidia Inspector settings I’d change would be the AA set to 4xS and the transparency AA Multisampling turned off and set at 2x supersampling (ideally, transparency AA should always be equal or half of the main AA setting - and ignore the sparse grid supersample stuff, with F4’s engine it’s pretty much pointless overkill).

Thanks Adonis! I build my settings based on your initial advises. Having more or less the same qualty picture (with V-sync, so no tearing), but 60 FPS standing on the runway Kunsan with empty TE and clear skies. With TGP on it drops to 45-47 FPS.
My specs is the following: GTX770 2Gb RAM and Intel Core I5-3570 boosted to 4120 MHz with 16Gb DDR3 RAM on 686.6 MHz
Falcon UI settings pretty much the same, but object quality, grass and trees are default. And Inspector+Configurator screenshot is attached.

P.S. If I just copy your Inspector settings its 3-5 FPS lower than mine.

I was going crazy why Avionics Configurator was showing an empty window when I run it and it was spiking CPU usage.
The reason is the d3d9.dll from SoftTH.

When I rename it Avionics Configurator displays ok when I leave the d3d9.dll in the same folder C:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Bin\x86
Avionics Configurator opens with an empty window.

I’m on win 7 Ultimate x64 English version.

My problem is when I run the 64bit 4.33 I see a black window and then back to desktop.

With saitek r440 unplugged from the usb port the 4.33 64bit works ok.

With 4.33 32bit and saitek plugged in works ok.

I tried new drivers updated reinstalled dx9 and some redistributable libraries of MS Vc++ etc but no good results.

I have only the drivers and not the Saitek profiler installed.

How are you programming your HOTAS? Are you using the keyfiles in BMS?

Finally got it working. It didn’t worked as standalone etiher so I uninstalled everything, cleaned up registry, reinstalled BMS, then MFDE afterwards.

Hi all need som eadvice please 🙂

I have 3 screens.

I was wondering is it possible to have main game on screen one,

MFD and a few other little bits on screen two (I know thats possible using the extraction tool) but what I would love is to have it place the buttons for the MFD as well around the edge of the extracted display.

As it is now I find it hard to press the correct button on the main screen around the MFD.

But it would be cool to have the MFD display extracted to my right monitor and be able to mouse over to it and press the buttons around the MFD as well.

Does this make sense?

Water normal mapping (All others options are OFF)

2_ Choose minimal configuration with F4 /Setup / Graphics
Multisampling off
VS Off
Canopy Reflection
Object density 6

In advanced options - All off except …
Linear mipmap filtering – ON
Texel Bias Fix – ON

3_ Choose scene for measures
I have used traing TR433_14 AGM65 Cavok and I have take measure in 4 situations
Over the sea (TGP / MAV off)
Over the land (TGP/MAV off)
Over the Land – TGP A/G On – Mav off – SP mode
Over the Land – TGP + MAV On
A flight with the training mission LANDING must confirm results around a air base.

Goal
Obtain at least 25 fps in the worth situation.

First tests:*
For the first tests, MFDE & Freetrack are OFF.
With this configuration, fps over the sea was very good. But fps drop down during the flight to the land and falls to 35fps over the land.
With the TGP, fps fall to 25 and with MAV ON ….15/16/17fps :cry*:

With a fine study of CPU/GPU load / memory usage and some others measures, the conclusion was*:
CPU load : Around 80% for a core / Global CPU usage between
GPU load : 15%
Memory usage*: unsignifiant
The number of 3D objects to exchange between CPU and GPU overload CPU or Mem bandwitch. AMD piledriver caches architecture isn’t know to be pinacle for this job ….

1st Fix :
Overclock FSB and CPU/NB Frequency (OC is at your own risk!!!)
I have sightly overclocked this two parameters and after tests, the worth performance was 28/29fps*!

CPU load*: Around 80% for a core
GPU load*: 15%
Memory usage*: unsignifiant

Othes tests: Eye candy session!**

Now, I need to optimiez Eye Candy. Explanations will be shorts*!
My CPU is the bottleneck, I’ve try to load GPU instead CPU !

I’ve force GPU parameters (AA, Texture filtering, Tesslation) step by step to obtain a good graphic quality without performance loss. For MY configuration*:
AA : x4
AA Filter*: Std
Multisampling
Morpho filter*: Off

Texture : x2 anisotropic filter
High quality

Tesslation : Application parameter

CPU load : Around 80% for a core
GPU load : 35% with some peak at 70%
Memory usage*: unsignifiant

NB : For this configuration AMD+ATI, MFDE and windowed mode have just a very poor influence on fps (-1/2 fps) 🆒

If this tests can help some of you*!

I’ve had the AP switch problem noise but no movement, the throttle problem on the ground TRN mission #1 every time. if I fly the Navigation Msn TRN #2 during the flight (starts in the air) the A/P switch will make a noise but does not move, the ICP stops working, no BTN pushes work, HUD wheel works, previous and next works and just before this happen I get a strong deep beeping sound then I know it’s about to happen. Then within a few minutes another deep beep and usually all systems ok after, until another beep. all flight surfaces controls work fine during the flight. On the throttle, when TRN #2 starts it is in the air and it 's 50/50 chance that the throttle will work or you find yourself doing a air restart. The Throttle is annoying it takes 2 cycles ( Idle to full PWR) to get the empty jet to move and then takes have throttle to get to the RWY. Checked BMS setting, Throttle, idle/AB, and made sure brakes are reversed for pedals. The throttle problem happens with a campaign flight also very annoying.
