1st - Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I was compelled to start an account because the work that you all into this over the years really requires a standing ovation. I owned the first Falcon fresh off the computer store shelf as a kid in HS on my father’s 436 IBM in (drumroll) the astounding 256 VGA graphics. Blew my goddamn mind. And that user manual, sheesh. So I have experienced Falcon in every iteration, and I just got to say the loyalty and technical work you all have exhibited over the years - friggin heroic. 4.37 is beautiful.
2nd - The only problems I have currently for 4.37. I need a good F-5, A-4, and Tomcat cockpit. On the latter one, I am aware of the long and troubled history if this, and I am perfectly happy with the one that appears in ME 128. But I can’t seem to move it out of that campaign nor across versions. I am either not reading the posts right or not reading the OFM .txt instructions right. I have never gotten too far into the technical weeds of the models. As for the F-5 and A-4, I have never seen any alternative cockpits except the hornet though I know there have been WIPs. I’d like to have something that is close to their actual cockpits, even if limited. I am sort of into cockpits and it is a weird fetish, I know, but I would rather have a limited-function cockpit that is visually accurate than a fully functional stand-in. (yes yes, I understand, BMS is an F-16 sim). So any guidance for getting these other model cockpits up to speed in 4.37 would be a big help.
Again. I’d like to thank all the people who have ever worked on this game and kept it alive over the years. It is amazing.
