I completely agree that there should be some standardized form or data template available for flight ops within squadrons and squadrons/wings or any group of players to play with other groups. I see this happening a lot, and a standardized means to share mission plans/briefings would be great.

I think these are excellent points you bring up here, and we shouldn’t just stop there. I think WDP would also provide a useful reference to consider what data fields should be present. A lot could be added for package coordination, for instance, to that list just off the top of my head. If I come up with a more worthy list, I’ll come back and post it.

Finally, I could see an MS Word template where you can substitute your own logo there going a long way. Export to PDF from word (there’s an option in there for it under the File Menu) and distribute it to pilots.

I don’t know if this could help, but I created a TE and chose two su-27’s in training roles, and when I tried to attack them they simply turned away and kind of ran away from me, as if they were trying to avoid me. It was interesting!

Thanks Oak, I did get on there but i’m a bit flummoxed by “Discord” in general. At first it wanted my info (i’m already on Discord) but kept rejecting because i’m already registered. Signed in with 2nd email I have and got in. Then I couldn’t select my experience level (figured base beginner was the best bet regardless of my limited BMS experience), got frustrated and put it aside.

If I figure Discord out a bit I may try that also, just seems like a lot of BS going on there and all I want to do is fly/learn/have fun…

At FL just go to the pilot_skill_rating channel and select your skill (click on the bottom) and you get access to all the MP flight channels

I only fly solo (non MP) and I find campaign a bit overwhelming, the AI wingmen are not bad, but not great either.

There is a flaw in your reasonning
IMHO if a VFW publish their TE (like we do) they might be made for MP and different flyers.
You can’t really expect a TE to remain enjoyable for 6 guys if it can be flown by a single guy.
I mean usually the TE objective are adapted according to number of pilots.

Replacing these human pilots with AI is quite a very good recept for disaster 🙂

Just to make sure. To get the flight hours counted you must convert the *.trn to *.tac (simply rename).
Additional benefit: you can edit the “training” TE-mission (e.g. I set the time to start the training mission with a cold and dark Viper).

I think so far for every theater I fly or flew half-way regularly (KTO, Aegean, EMF and Balkans) I created quick AAR training scenarios… I don’t remember sharing them all, though 🙂

not speaking of the need to assure one TARCAP flight (at least) to patrol the area nearby consequently, then, considered the time spent in covering the main attack flight.
