Error 2077 Error -Help!
-
I’m trying to get the Cougar going, but keep getting Error 2077 when I try to DL a profile to the stick. That error is, btw, “no Active Calibration File found” .
The thing is, there IS one.
The Cougar has been repeated calibrated, and the ACC was saved. In fact, it’s actually showing up in the appropriate window of the CCP.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. -
I think I would restore the cougar to factory defaults, reflash the firmware and start from square one.
check your HOTAS folder/CCP & TM manual doc.

Hi, D,
Yep, I was thinking about the old "unplug and start over " approach when I get home.
While I’m thinking about it, here’s a question…It’s been several years since I used the Cougar(back in the Open Falcon days, in fact) and remember that a definite part of the process was to do part of the setup without the throttle plugged into the stick. The current documentation I have does not describe that. I wonder if that could be an issue.
I’m trying to find my old notes . The Cougar was working with OF, so it should definitely work with BMS, I would think. -
IIRC, the reason to unplug the throttle during reflash was because of an ungrouded pcb in the throttle which, in some cases, caused a problem with the throttle being sluggish or nonresponsive after reflashing.
Thus the recommendation to disconnect the throttle. -
yup, from the CCP manual
“This message has been added because of reports of users having problems with slow throttle response directly after flashing the firmware. In order to protect users unaware of the possible issue, this message warns the user to unplug their throttle before continuing the flash sequence. If you’re content to continue with the throttle plugged, check the available checkbox, if not, follow the instructions given.”
