Windows 10

I’m on the fence now. MS just released a tool for disabling some automatic updates, which was my only real objection.
This would be huge…

Can you provide a link? This was my concern as well.

The question for me is it’s stability? Will it be another WIN 95 and 98? Does anyone remember all the BSOD?

I’ve heard nothing but good about it over previous versions, and this coming from a few die-hard Apple fanboys I know. I will go to Win 10 on my tablet and work box, but for my two Viper Pits, I’m waiting until the proof is out there. I, too, don’t have the Win 7 Pro, and I don’t want every update being automagically installed, especially video drivers.

Cougar doesnt have drivers for 7 or 8, so I dont think Ill be upgrading to 10 any time soon… it works on 7, dunno if I want to go through the hassle of trying to make it work on a newer OS.
Maybe it should be called a forward-grade instead of an upgrade.
-
When the price is right.
-
It’s free for me. And the notes state it will have DirectX12 which I assume Falcon will be affected somehow? It also states for multi-core processors like mine graphics would be clearly improved.

Not if the program still uses an older version of DirectX…… so to benefit from it, some heavy code work is needed on the graphic part.

Hey Blue, check these out. Not as hard as you might think…

I am going to update to Win 10 on my laptop first to see how it goes.

All great on Windows 10 so far, no driver or hardware problems, BMS runs smoothly and so are all my connected devices

I’m going to wait and see what Gyro suggests before doing anything…

Well, I think I can suggest waiting a little bit until they release a few fixes. It looks a little rushed out imho.
Upgrade went ok for the most part but (and your experience may vary) I’m noticing glitches all over ( Samsung Magician not working, PC woke up unable to throttle past 1.3 Ghz ( i7 3770 ), Intel Storage technology GUI using 40% of the CPU resources, and damn MS Edge setting itself as default browser all the time with Firefox complaining every time i start it ) .
Oh and be sure you “tweak” all those nifty “privacy settings” where you authorize Windows 10 to leak your privacy data all over (all this on Win 10 Pro on top of that, where one wouldn’t be asking a OS to improve his social experience
