Snap vs the arm rest
-
I am not able to see the Air Source selector because the arm rest is blocking my view. Before I wander into how to set a snap view while using Track IR, I am wondering if the arm rest is removable or if it can be re-positioned some way. Looking for the easy way as I see no practical purpose for the arm rest in the sim. I think I can find it with the mouse and right click (I think) but I do prefer to actually see the knob.
Thanks -
No way to move the armrest in sim. Have to lean to look around it or as you said hover the mouse over its location and click it….

Since 4.33, the cockpit is 6DOF. Press mouse wheel and move the POV.

Yes, and it’s a great feature, I use it a lot, as I don’t have a TrackIR system. I find it particularly useful when I want to fit the whole of the HUD symbology in its frame (not completely visible in some planes).

Yep that new feature was a surprise for me one day when I clicked my mouse wheel with TIR disabled

TIR needs to be disabled for the mousewheel press to work? I will bet (hope) that there is key bind for that.

Not mousewheel, mouse_button_3.

That is mouse button 3 on some computer mice. Other mice may have other special buttons, mine is just a standard 3 button. You push down the mousewheel that is the mouse button 3

Yep I have two buttons and a wheel. Tried to disable TIR with F9 in game. Didn’t work but I don’t think that disables TIR. Hilarious picture. Thanks for all of the help fellows.

K, when in cockpit just move the mouse cursor around the top of the armrest until it(the cursor) turns green. One left click will take it to NORM. The mouse cursor can essentially “see through” things. In the Hornet it’s the light switches “through” the throttles, in the Viper it’s air source.

Left click works. Thanks

No need to disable, TIR, just look right, move the mouse over the ‘grey’ (not black) part of the arm rest, see the mouse cursor change to the green circle (air source is the only hot spot there), click, Done. No fuss.
