HUD, show which weapon is selected?
-
Hey all, another question!
I donāt think it will but can the HUD show which weapon is selected?
E.g. When I select GB-12 all I see is CCRP (as Iām in CCRP mode). Itād be useful if when cycling A-G weapon hard points if it showed what was selected rather than having to go to the SMS page to check.
Image below shows what Iām seeing when in A-G mode, with GB-12 selected in CCRP mode.
Cheers

No you cant This is how the F-16 avionics are set up.
Usually they have 2 wing tanks in AG missions, so that leaves only 2 hardpoints, ie 2 different weapon types at most. Having 2 different kind of freefall bombs, for ex, is rare.
BTW, the āCycle AG weaponsā callback (āDeleteā key by default) is not a functionnality present in the real jet at all, it does not correspond to any real HOTAS button or cockpit switch. The only way to change AG weapon, in the real jet, is in the SMS page, by pressing the OSB next to the weapon type, so the question you are asking never present itself in the real jet
Similarly, the āCycle AA weaponsā (āEnterā key) is not realistic either. To change AA weapons, you can either press the OSB in the SMS page, or make a long press on the āMissile Stepā button in the sidestick. More on that in Install Folder -> Docs -> Falcon BMS Manuals -> BMS Dash1.pdf .
These callbacks dates from the original F4 and are mostly here as shortcuts, pretty much in the spirit of easy avionics or stuff like that.

Ahh. Thanks for that. I might scrap those buttons and assign them to something else. Could do with a better mrm/dogfight/cancel set up.
