Dude I just want to fly

Hey everybody,
I’ve copied that there are a few vfs’s out there,
and i’m not even against respecting the process to join in one of those. However, i’d really like to just do some pick up flying.
Partially to validate my setup, but mostly just for fun.Anyone up?
Is there a standing pickup group somewhere? I haven’t found much yet.

Falcon Online runs a 24-7 coop server, you can often find pick ups there.

Why not join a virtual squadron anyway? Because you’re flying with a group of guys that have a certain level of flying skills and are following SOPs, you’re flying experience will be much more consistent which IMHO equals fun. Plus some groups run some training programs so you can work on areas that you’re weak in. For instance, one group ran an A-A missile avoidance training course and I learned how to defeat AMRAAMs with a great deal of confidence and consistency. That meant that when fired upon, I no longer panic like I used to, I can support my own missile for a bit longer and increase my PK at the same time start my maneuvers to also increase my survivability.
Just my 2 cents.

Funny you say that you don’t fear the Slammer cause I still do.

Yah like I said, i’m not against joining into a group.
However, that seems to be taking some time.
And i’m impatient -

FO has a server running most of the time. Lone Wolf friendly.

And i’m impatientImpatients is not a good quality for flying fbms. It took me a few months just to learn basic cfm’s. Let alone egg dropping with all of the different weapons. I would strongly suggest you fly with a good IP. That will get you further faster imo.

I’m not saying I don’t “fear” the Slammer, it is still a good weapon. I’ve just learned a little bit more about it and how to defeat it so even when fired upon, I’m not panicking straight away.
As for joining a group, yeah, some groups close their recruitment from time to time but there are a few groups out there that hold “open” flight sessions so you can probably join those to get a feel of the group and how they fly.
IMHO, flying this sim lone-wolf style is doing yourself a disservice.
