Red lines.

Hello Forum.
I’ve created a TE which involves AWACS, Escort, SEAD and a Deep Strike. All is well except on the Mission Schedule screen the steer point lines for the Strike are red. All the other flights are fine.
I’ve read other threads in the forum and the TE building manual by the 185 VFS, but can’t find the reason.
When I forward the clock to run the scenario, it seems to fly as planned. The lines turn white. I have both TOS and Airspeed locked at each steer point.
The strike flies from steer 1 to steer 3 at 1000 feet out at sea while the others distract enemy attention flying higher and over land.
I notice in the briefing screen, the Deep Strike is referred to as “Diverted”. I don’t know if that’s relevant.
Perhaps red lines are unimportant as I can fly the TE. But just in case I’m forgetting something……
Thanks.
Bayonet.

Red lines mean that the TOS for the next steerpoint is not possible. You’ll need to adjust the TOS ensure that the ac can make it in time. Then adjust all the other TOS so that they all arrive in sequence. They may be getting diverted as the TOS is impossible without going warp speed.

Red line are an indication of possible issue with fuel, speed and /or TOS inconsistencies.
If it turns white when applying any change (when moving a WPT, changing the clock) it mean that it should be alright (update of the flight plan).
EDIT:
Avoid to lock the airspeed tab except in some specific needs/cases.
Try to have only one TOS locked when working on a mission flight plan. Otherwise you could easily mess up the entire track. -
Thank you,
Is it important which TOS in the sequence is locked?

Usually you lock the target to a specific TOT.
When i’ve gotten TE’s hosed up like this, i’ve had to unlock everything but one, and kind of start over.
It’s a real pain. -
It is a bit……but it’s all part of the Falcon learning curve…keeps the brain active.
Thank you.

Heed DJ’s advice……
Cough, cough…I mean that in a nice way Deej
Some hints:
#1 Make sure you load out enough fuel on the AC for the intended flight (Not all AC in the Data Base have the correct Sim Data associated to them…try any flight with the F5 for example)
#2 Make sure that your Steer Points are correctly aligned, as well as your altitude profile, we burn more fuel @ sea level then say 10K feet……
#3 Make sure that you only lock TOS\TOT if you have to lock any at all…code should already do it if you have set it up correctly.
#4 Avoid long “Legs” if you can, if not add a Refuel steer point and put a tanker on station nearby
#5 Don’t try and “Cheat” the OpFor with a radical Flight Plan that cannot be executed by the AI…(Well, hell go ahead and then watch them “Dance” in the sky)…LOL!!!Have fun,
