Bug Report: FalconTexturesSharedMemoryArea stops updating after ctrl+alt+del
-
From GiGurra :
"Quick bug report to you devs out there.
I’ve had good success using FalconTexturesSharedMemoryArea. It has really good performance but one imo nasty bug .
if you Hit ctrl+alt+del ingame (for whatever reason) the data stops updating. This may be caused by something related D3D destroying the associated texture that you copy the stuff into before downloading from gpu->ram.
(see https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib…or=-2147217396)
You probably need to recreate that extra buffer (or however youve implemented this) once IDirect3DDevice::Reset is called (I did this in previous GPT code to solve the same problem).Just a note for you cockpit builders : external displays will stop working if you for whatever reason ctrl/alt/del and then re-enter the game. To get the data updating again you unfortunately right now need to exit the mission and re-enter it . That will instantiate new renderer resources. "
