My Hotas is set to POV how do i change it
-
remove the panning from the joystick
-
Where do i find Panning?
-
Panning is the default behavior of a POV hat.
To help you it would be nice to know the following:
1. Which HOTAS / Joystick (Cougar, X52…)?
2. How do you set up your input device (logical programming, DX)?
3. What is broken exactly? Is it the device itself (faulty POV hat) or does your setup not work as expected? While you are talking about “View keeps going down”:
Any chance of mishandling shifted functions -> stuck key?
Please check BMS Key File Manual.pdf (located in …/Docs/Key Files & Input/…), page 40 -
is what happends no matter what i do also i use a cheap flight stick named Black widow by Speed link
-
IF a POV hat with default behaviour (changes Point Of View -> no other functions assigned to it)
the output “No Function Assigned” in the UI is pretty normal.Go try it in 3D and the POV hat should do what it is designed for: Changing POV.
-
i cant seem to find anything to do with POV
-
So what i mean is that my View in cockpit is going down like stuck key my keyboard is fine its my flight stick and i dont know how to get rid of it as in unbind it
-
Ok.
Let me sum this up:Your POV hat on your Joystick is faulty, hence the View in pit goes down all the time.
Now you just want to prevent the POW down from constantly tilting the view without user input. Right? If this is the case you can add the following code line to your key file:
SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 4 0x0 0
This is a DX code line for the POV down position. It simply tells your device to do nothing, when the POV
is in down position.I don’t know which key file you use. So you have to check if there aren’t some other DX code lines in the file.
If so, you have to pay attention as there might be another code line adressing the POV down position.
This is easily identified by this (bold) part:SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 4 0x0 0

Id like to thank you for helping me out, my joystick has stoped forcing me to look down and i can fly again thank you again
Thanks to all others who also commented and tried to help me out

Glad, it works now.
But to be honest:
You should really consider to get new hardware which works flawlessly… -
Yeah i am thinking of getting something better than what i have right now the only problem is money i started college and had to buy programs for programming so i am kind of broke atm, if you know any good flight sticks for around the price of 80£ and lower please let me know
