Full AB But Slowing Down
-
Joined 2 ship as element lead in MP flight out of Seosan 157th Block 52 Ai generated flight. Approx 250knts and 12k on joining but despite full AB the speed slowly dropped until fell out of the sky. AG mission, wing tanks and gbu`s No damage and boards in. Any little speed gained by pushing nose down quickly lost when level flight resumed.
May never see it again ? Hopefully not

Actually, C, I see the same thing quite a lot in Instant Action. It’s like the Sim isn’t seeing throttle inputs. The cure is to cycle the throttle idle to 'burner a time or two. It eventually “wakes up”

Yes.

What do you think I was doing during the descent ? making a cup of tea ? When I said full AB I meant it was roaring and belching flame as you might expect. Reducing throttle increased loss of speed
-
Ok, wait. Now I’m confused. You were making tea in flight?
-
had it happened since?
I tend to blame some falcon voodoo that had eluded us.(yes, we actually went over the Falcon book of voodoo for this release, it’s much smaller now)
anyway,
from a one time event it’s hard to nail it down. -

Execute the CAPs is I guess the first response…
-
…a CAP of tea?
-
Yup, execute a CAP of tea.
Stay above minimum tea levels. Kettle may be required. SEC kettle mode (stovetop) may be required to maintain tea levels above minimum. In case SEC kettle mode is insufficient to maintain tea levels, eject drinkers as required.
