Sidetone headset?
-
It wasn’t too bad actually thanks to the detailed instructions. I’m surprised there’s so little support given the hardware loop exists.
-
Ive tried to set it up for myself, but my windows 7 sound page doesnt have a ‘levels’ tab per the manual, so I dont think I have a way to guess which number device I need…
-
You could start a ICV host and join it yourself testing the different device numbers until you hear yourself.
-
Ill give that a shot. Can’t hurt…

Got my sidetone feature working thanks to 4.33!! Highly recommended for anybody with closed ear headsets.
Thanks so much guys for the hardwork. By the description in the manual sounds like it was an ordeal!
What’s sidetone? Checked google and a lot of different audio pages come up.
Thanks,

Check the BMS manual and search for sidetone - good description of it there.
Short answer is its the ability to hear yourself talk.

Check the new manual there is a good description….good section on new IVC features.
“14.5.6.2 Sidetone
Sidetone refers to the idea of a small amount of your own voice content spoken into the microphone being fed back to you in real time through your speakers or headphones. Almost everyone will be familiar with the phenomenon even if not with what it is called: if you have ever used a plain old telephone you will have heard yourself in the earpiece as you speak into the receiver/handset.” -
anybody care to explain how to set this up to us common-folk?…lol
-
Yes, the person who took time to code this feature very kindly and expertly explained in great detail how to set it up. It’s in the BMS Manual as mentioned above.

Sadly it looks like my headset doesnt support hardware loopback… shame
-
Have you tried with “wave” argument ?
It seems that looback is not working for me too. With wave, I ca hear some noises when pushing F1 or F2, But I can’t hear my voice …
I have to do some more tests -
Just an update on this if anybody has tried and not succeeded - check your other audio devices are enabled…
I had a bizarre situation when moving my headset to the front inputs that I had to leave something plugged into a rear jack to enable the hardware loop.
