Cursors running Amok
-
Good evening, All,
I would appreciate help on a HOTAS issue. I have a Saitek x-65, and am setting it up for 4.33 using the new keyfile. The radar cursors move normally when I enter shift + arrow on the keyboard but on the HOTAS the cursors keep going . For example, even if you just tap “cursor up” the cursor will just keep going up. Entering a cursor command via keyboard stops it.
I have tried programming via the Sim and via SST, with the same results

Shift+key doesn’t work flawless, you need to reassign the cursor to be a single key press without shift or alt.

Thanks, Fenir. I was coming back to report just that. This also explains why TMS up, for example, is flaky and the radio keeps transmitting! TMS, DMS, and CMS are all having issues, too.
I’m not sure why it was doing it when set in Sim, not SST, but the cursors are working -
I’m have an issue too with the radar cursor for my X55. Running out of single buttons to use

X-55 here , Throttle hat set as cursor slew in sim , works like dream. Stock Full key file.
All hats like cms, dms work fine.
Saitek software not in use, only beta drivers for win10

Wonder if it’s the Saitek software. Unsure since the cursor doesn’t work on the keyboard also even when I reassign to just the up, down, left, and right arrows. Hmmmmmmm. All other throttle hats are working.

Figured it out. Make sure to use the full key file. Thanks

I had the same thing and just reassigned the cursor to single UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT. However, I believe it is possible to use a key with a modifier like ALT/SHIFT etc… Not at my computer but I think if you go into STT and add an ‘Advanced Button’ command for each band. You have to make sure the sequence of the key presses is correct. By default if you create a key sequence in STT like ALT+LEFT it comes up like this (the first two are the ‘key-down’ events, the last two are the ‘key-up’ events).
ALT LEFT LEFT ALT
I think you have to change it to something like
ALT LEFT ALT LEFT
This forces the key sequence. I’ll check it again when I get back to the computer but I’m pretty certain this is what’s causing your problem.
