Resolution problem
-
I have 2 monitors. My main is 2560x1440 and my secondary (below main) is 1440x900. I have used the cockpit display extractor to setup the MFDs on my lower monitor to use my TM MFDs. They work great. However, when I run the game using the 2560x1440 graphics selected, the display is also on the secondary monitor. How can I get the game to stay full screen on my primary monitor and the MFDs to stay on the secondary monitor?

Under the cockpit display extractor settings for the main screen, you will find positioning settings listed as top and left. Make sure both are set to 0 (refer to user manual pg 4-51).

I did that. Here are screen shots.

Seems to me that the main monitor native resolution is less than 2560x1400. What is the size our your main monitor?
Try a lower in-game res for the main monitor (1080p) and see if that helps.

I have been playing with the resolutions and can’t get the screen filled. It shows a window. Mu main monitor is an ASUS PB278Q with 2560x1440 and it is beautiful when the game works without the CDE but I want the displays on my secondary monitor. Is there any way to force a full screen on my primary monitor?

Sorry, but I’m unable to reproduce this. My only suggestion would be to try Lightening’s MFDE as an alternative for MFD extraction:

https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?t=23359That was my first problem. Lol. I couldn’t get MFDE to work properly. I would rather use it and HELIOS. If you can help me with MFDE, that would be outstanding!

What is the problem with mfde? I too have an issue that I’ve learned to live with - the 5min to respond problem [emoji12]
But at least it works. -

But at least it works.I did try it. You say it has a 5 minute response? (I assume you are being facetious) I did notice it took some time for the screens to pop up. I did try that and after they popped up and I resized them to fit my TM MFDs, I ran the game and they stayed blank. Well, not totally. They did display the word “blank” and some other things on the bottom but they never worked. Should I wait longer after the game starts for them to work?

I’m not - mines literally takes 5 mins before they initialize, and it sounds like u might have the same issue. In my case however once its running, it works.
Can u try adding a few gauges to make sure they work?
Also what do u mean by blank? Are you in the 3d world with active mfds in cockpit at that point?
-
The MFDs say “BLANK” until you go into the 3D world, then they show what they’re supposed to show.

Sound like you failed to get into your falcon BMS.cfg file and change the set g_bExportRTTTextures from 0 to a 1.

That file was changed to a 1.
