Some VERY basic questons

;)Brilliant work! Mine is the simplest of questions-
How do I find the command to lock a target (what is it called), so I can switch the command on my stick (Logitech 3D)
What is the command to change air to air and air to ground weapons?
What is the command to switch to guns?
In the past this stuff was pretty plainly described, but I can’t find it among all the ‘2nd detent for the APU 65g K100 LMNOP nail trimmer’ commands. The game is amazingly detailed now, but I can’t find the simple stuff that makes air combat enjoyable.
Can somebody help me out? -
Untested and somebody will hopefully correct me if I’m wrong, but looking at the US Intl keyboard layout from C:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Docs\Key Files & Input\Keyboard Layout Files:
Designate: Shift Home
AA weapon: Shift / (not sure how it works on a keyboard, as it’s normally dependent on short and long presses).
AG weapon: Alt Backspace
Guns AA: D
Guns AG: Shift 1 (I think)You can also assign them in the key file using commands such as SimTMSUp, or assign them in the Controllers section of the game UI.

Get to know the BMS Manual and lingo for locking up a target.
TMS UP - target management system - selects target
TMS Down, TMS left, TMS right - deselects, switch, switch, etc…
ICP AA, AG (the keyboard in front of the cockpit)
You will have to select on the Right MFD PB 1 (Upper left corner). There are a lot of training videos from Kraus on YouTube for basic stuff.
This is an awesome simulator so take some time to learn everything.

T.O. BMS1F-16CM-1, pages 26 to 29, then pages 53 to 55, cover the throttle and stick respectively. I would call your attention to page 55 in particular. Keep a close eye for the functionality of the TARGET management switch.
I cannot find it in the manual, but in brief - to fire the gun, you need to be in a gun mode, with MASTER ARM - ON. There are three gun modes. The simplest is the DGFT override mode, accessible on the throttle. The other two are submodes of the AA and AG mastermode.
Page 60 covers how to switch between AA and AG mastermodes. Page 80 covers the SMS MFD format in detail, and is your go to for changing AA and AG weapons, as well as ‘switching to guns’.
I have a question too, can someone point me to the APU 65g K100 LMNOP Nail Trimmer commands? I cant find it.
