Realistic Carrier Strike Groups
-
Is there a way to configure the Carrier Strike Groups so they are comprised of the correct amount of ships that they will have in the real world ?

I was surprised to see submarines with the carrier in the videos.

and there are Three others, but you cant see them
LOL

Well I was expecting submarines in combat to not actually be with their carrier, but out attacking targets semi autonomously.

Before i say this i need to retract what is said about this( Falcon) being a game. I do apologize for that. I now realize that this is a passion for lots of people on here as can be seen by the numerous 16 cockpit builds.
I would like to see US CSGs be more accurately portrayed. For exampleā¦. the support ship does not hang with the battle group and the ships are not clustered around the carrier. Hope that makes sense.

I should think that in order for this to work there would have to be some Naval operations AI included in BMSā¦and I should think that would be a large undertakingā¦
Being a US āoperatorā and interested in BMS for its very nice simulation of the F-16, I have a hard time becoming interested in Maritime operations for an aircraft the USAF operates primarily overlandā¦but if I could get a Naval/CV/air-ops/war at sea sim that is as hi-fidelity as BMS isā¦and the two could be integratedā¦yeah - Iād be ALL over that! But I should think that would be an entirely new and separate project.
ā¦Fly Navy.

In RL ships in a CBG/CSG cab be 10-15 nm away. As long as ships are assigned in battalions and code does not support you cannot make realistic tactic formations. Also I do not know how effects exaclty on SAM behavior in case all ships are in the same battalion. I tried in my MOD to use single ships in battalinos and in 4.32 worked better.
