[4.33 Base 64bits] 2d cockpit view doesn't recenter on pressing 2 key
-
Having panned around in 2d cockpit view, pressing the 2 key no longer resets to forward view.
Additionally, if having panned around in 2d view, one then selects a different view (padlock, external etc.), pressing the 2 key goes back to the 2d view with the initial pan intact (rather than resetting to the forward view).

Oh man…get track ir if you don’t have it. I haven’t seen a 2d pit in like…ages. Perhaps the answer lies under the controls section under views? Things changed in this update and I had to make some adjustment.

What happens if you select the 3 key and then the 2 key. Like redshirt, I personally have never used the 2D pit.

I’ve never really got on with TrackIR - I like being able to lean back in my chair etc, and don’t like having to press a recenter button. That said I haven’t tried a recent version.
Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a setting under views.
AFAIK the current 2d view is actually just the 3d view but with step panning instead of smooth. I imagine the reset function got removed when the key was recoded to be a 3d view (4.32?).

It puts you back in the 2d view, but at the position last panned to
Currently the only way to recenter it is to manually pan back to the front.

Have a look at the BMS Manual if you haven’t already. There is a whole chapter dedicated to views and if view controls.
More recent versions of TrackIR are significantly improved over the earlier models by the way.

Unfortunately I don’t think the manual mentions this function. I suspect it’s pretty much got forgotten about due to many people using TrackIR. Will check out the newer TrackIRs on youtube, though not convinced it’s for me…

Have just ordered an edtracker, but am bumping thread in case I don’t like it!
