Hello
I would like to have your help regarding my radios in the F16
I’ m unable to let it function properly.
If I want the ground crew to remove the shocks I can’t make a connection to the tower.I follow the manual for ramp start but the radios fail to work.
Help with the radio’s will be greatfull
Thanks.

To be honest, i am struggling on this as well. But i believe the problem is i am not tuned to the tower frequency. You need to determine what airport you are at, and then lookup the frequency. i am hearing lots of chatter but that must be from another frequency. I am also unclear about what is loaded and not loaded by default in a campaign, with the dtc, uhf vs vhf, etc.
This is going to be my focus today. Sorry i couldn’t be more help.

At the very minimum it is possible to talk to tower by:
1. Main Power: Battery or Main
2. COM1 Volume Knob: Increase
3. UHF Mode: Main or Both
4. UHF Function: Manual
5. Enter frequency using digit knobsThese are all switches on the left console. Of course if you have a started jet using UFC is fine too; above is the “only 5 steps you need from cold jet” type list.
http://www.candyparty.com/ST/BMS_KOREA_interactive/index2.html Is a good out-of-game method to check airport or navaid info. If memory is correct strictly according to programming code all that is needed to remove chocks is to be tuned to any tower even if it is 1000nm away (not checked for position) but maybe in 4.33 the restriction is nearest now. If you can ask tower for QNH or wind or any information report that is a good test if tower communications are working.

I solved my problem with first to go in to DET and save the tower freq to default.
Now I can communicate with the tower and ground crew.
