Did you unzip the folder?
No need to uninstall 4.32. I have both on my PC and switch between the two as I try to work out the kinks in my Helios profile. -
Oh my god, you are a genius!
I used deamon tools, do you know it?
However, after unzipping the files it is running!Thank you! I think in 100 years I don´t come to this idea
Best regards

omg i’ve been looking how to solve the exact same problem for like 3 days now!! what EXACTLY did you do?
-
You just need a unzip program, I use 7zip its a free program to download install it then right click on the BMS 4.33 download, select 7 zip (or any other unzip program you chose) and extract the files to same location and you should get a second folder next to the first ready to load. Follow the instructions and the new file will do the rest.

That’s so funny.
I suspected the problem everywhere. The idea to unzip the folder was obviously too easy for me.
So in this moment it was geniusI hope you have had laughing a lot!

Ho Mast , I wasn’t laughing at you missing that step, I was laughing at the “being a genius” to think of unzipping it.
Don’t worry we have all made that mistake, well at least I have. :drink:

You laughing at the idea of ME being a genius??

Hi guys, so I’m a complete noob to Falcon and only bought it for the 4.33 mod as it has the tornado gr4 and the trailer was f***ing amazing.
However I have successfully installed the original Falcon 4.0 plus the BMS 4.33 mod and yet I cannot select an aircraft or switch to an outside view. For christ sake the only plane I can fly is the A-10. Not that the A-10 is bad or anything, its just that its an f16 sim lol.
Can someone please help!!!

Don’t need to install Falcon 4.0. BMS is not a mod, it’s a separate software. It’s only needed during setup to prove you own Falcon 4.0 for legal reasons.
In the mission frag list click the sortie you want and then click the seat using the airplane pictures below. You should see your logbook last name in the name slot below that airplane.

So heres the problem I am having then.
If i do not install the original falcon 4, bms 4.33 cannot see that I have the original. I bought it on GOG so when you download it ends up in the downloads folder, however bms cannot see it there unless installed. -
Sure you can, the GOG version install files include Falcon4.exe (same as the CD like I bought in 1999 :p). So you can find the Falcon4.exe for the BMS setup before Falcon 4.0 is installed.

Yes you are correct as I can see the falcon4.exe when I look into the downloads folder directly. But when I launch the BMS 4.33 setup.exe and look in the same folder using the setup to find falcon 4.0, it is not there for some reason. I can find falcon gold but that is because its installed
Its weird I know but I cannot figure it out

After some trial and error, I ended up reinstalling falcon 4.0 and then installing BMS 4.33. I can switch between aircraft thanks to FREDERF but only into flights that are in the mission i choose in the tactical engagement which is fine.
Is the editor the only way to fly the likes of the harrier and tornado? or is there a way to place them in the training missions?

Training Missions are not editable as is in the BMS screen. Couple of options:
- Create a new TE (at the bottom of the mission list choose “TE Builder”) and add your preferred AC to a scenario you create. You can mimic the training mission if you wish, or create a different mission with similar weapons or objectives;
- Use Mission Commander to open the *.trn (training) TE. Then add a squadron of the AC type you desire to the airbase the training mission starts from. Save As a *.tac file. Now it will be in the list of saved TE’s and you can edit it in BMS. To ‘copy’ the existing training mission, one method would be to roll the take off time of the F16 flight back so it is still on the ground at the current game-time. Then add a flight of the AC type you desire, mimic the weapon load and waypoints of the F16 flight. Now roll YOUR take off time forward until the approx place the F16 mission originally was (for an in-flight mission join).
Overall not the simplest thing to do (changing AC in training missions), but with a some practice making/editing TE’s not too hard either.
Maybe someone has a simpler means of accomplishing the same thing.

Thanks AGAVE_BLUE I will give it a go. And from the sounds of it, when acquiring Falcon 4.0 on GOG.com, you have no choice but to install it in order for BMS to work.
