ATI Users please post your settings for 4.33

I run at 1920x1080
sorry but missed that

@dema:
Which graphic card do you use? CPU-Z shows only ‘AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series’…
TIA

7950 hd
I did other tests in past hours. No joy on drivers settings, whatever trick I do (on off in catalyst or in games) like I see in other threads I have not the good compromise. I tried also to overclock cpu at 3,5ghz from 2.67 I have. No fps gained. The right compromise for me it’s to reduce effects without loosing quality. Just the focus shadow is 10 fps less for me.
cheers

IMHO is it a good “deal”… Momentary I envy you anyhow!
Anyhow the next graphic age is on…
Momentary I have a AMD HD-7770 and I really do not know if I should change to a GTX 960, or 970, or even a 980. All have a relative good consumption/performance relationship, in which the 980 is *so expensive!
And what will be in e.g. 5 years, especially to the 960…again a new card?
And it seems that NVidia will not lower the prices for 970, or 980…Greeting

well my cpu has 7 years in december, that was a good idea to buy it if today I can fly with falcon yet. I don’t think I need new rig right now. Waiting for further updates to decide.

I have something similar. Specs of rig in signature.
Catalyst (still using v13.1, didn’t want to upgrade when my rig was finally stable).
- Anti-alias: override app settings, 4xEQ (tried 2xEQ too but didn’t notice difference), filter standard, method multisampling. Morph off
- Anisotropic : override, 8x, text quality performance, surface on
- Opengl triple buff on
In BMS I have multisampling & anisotropic off.
Objection density, detail, amount of grass & trees all max value.1920x1080 resolution.
All eye candy in bms config on -> average 20-25FPS
Turn off shadows on smoke -> average 40FPS
Turn off focus shadows -> average of 50-60FPSBut I do get too much tearing. So I reactivated vsync again. Didn’t notice a difference if activated in BMS or in catalyst.
GPU load average 35-50%, CPU load average 45-55%.
When I then start Lightning MFDE extractor (BMS still running fullscreen not windowed), on a second 19" monitor, via separate graphical card on my motherboard, FPS drops back to average of 30.
With all MFDE settings placed to default or performance over quality, FPS average goes back to 30-45FPS.
I do extract a lot on my screen (https://www.dropbox.com/s/04ssgji4cr8ydwn/Current-setup-2.jpg?dl=0).EDIT: all tested on Kunsan, in F-16-AM-BE, two ship lined up and airborne. Tanker in the bubble, nothing else. Default weather, no TGP/FLIR/MAV…
EDIT2: tried turning Windows aero theme and stuff off, and over clocked lightning boost card a little bit to 1205Mhz GPU clock & 1575MHz memory clock, and turned on FullThrottle, but no real significant improvements noticed. -
If we fly at 30-40 fps with old hw with these details is not a big problem anyway, that shadows are much more detailed in 4.33. Great job from the devs.

The 7950/7970 are by no means old hardware yet, the current range and previous R9 280 / R9 380 and their X variants are of the same design with identical specs except for some better manufacturing optimizations. At best a 10% benifit.
For me a R9 380 upgrade would be stupid. A R9 390 is still on the wish list but I just spent that money on a AOC Q3277PQU (32" 2560x1440) It was a worthy upgrade & just in time for 4.33.

Dear vpilots
Can you help me with ATI Radeon sapphire 7870 Settings in order to have a better/smouther view in MFD texture like this video?ati catalyst driver ver: 15.10 Beta
My cockpit view is here :

My setup
i5 760
r9 280x
16GB ram
SSD (BMS on it)
etc etcAnd my performance is TBH terrible
I pray for the BMS team to try and optimize the sim I truly do.
Dont get me wrong what the devs have done is amazeing but this cant be right on this type of hardware
I have about 35fps in most missions if I urn on the TGP then forget ot 20fps max.
I have tryed EVERY combination of settings etc I only gain what 5fps tops.
Please devs I beg you please optimize if possible.
Thanks

A sample
At least 50 fps in all mission
25 fps with TGP+Mav -
Hello again
i need your wisdom about ATI radeon crimpson latest software settings
i have an 7870 HD flex radeon , and i would like to have smouth MFD text like my friend’s Archer’s video below
As you can see the MFD text is clear and smouth without tearing , is it the v-sychronization?
can anyone have that clear text with ATI radeon crimpson? with far head distance?
and if yes which software and which settings in crimpson setup and inside BMS
please post some screenshots too
best regards

Buy the same computer as Archer has. I’m sure it will be smooth.

Better you post your Crimson settings and the BMS configurator and graphics advanced settings here so we can take a look at it.

Arty i have ordered as i type… but i think your’s is better so give me your specs …
smart @SS…

is Crimsons more stable now? I had serious issues with the first version and with the 2 versions afterwards (hot fix didn’t help).

 u ask for smoothness of Archers pc with your pc hw…
It’s like comparing a Fiat 127 with a Porsche… (not any Porsche but the final super extra model)
U can’t have a Fiat 127 going as smooth and as fast as a Porsche.
I believe you are an experienced pc user - tweeker.
My specs are on my sig. But don’t trust them… haven’t had the time to fully test it yet. Not even one mission flawn with the new setup .

Superb. I went back to my R9 290 when my 980 Ti was RMA’d at Easter. I’ve had the NVIDIA card back for 2 weeks and still haven’t installed it as the 290 with the 16.3.1 Crimsons is doing such a good job.

Cool, maybe I’ll try to out again then with my R7970, wonder what that’ll give.
I’m running 40" 4K with some shaders off, texture export set to 0, and a second 1980x1200 monitor with a buttload of extractions (BMS and MFDE). Getting 25 bad weather at Kunsan and 45 above the clouds. Hope to get back to 60.
