In defence of Metalhead
-
Anything happened with Metalhead?
-
In another thread that was closed, there was an incorrect assumption/connection concerning a cockpit.
-
Metalhead made the F-22 come alive and for that a million +1’s awesone guy who looks out for the falcon community not himself.

Let me be very clear Demer or Nizmo never had a staff position on FO. They can say what they want, but i run the show there and i can tell you People like demer / Nizmo can never hold such position. I read Demer’s post and i had similar issues with him in the past, Demer has no idea what he is talking about like 97% of the time.
As far as Metal Head is concern he is a dear friend and a sweet heart. I have worked with him and he has always been fair to me and FO.
As much as Dave sometimes exceeds weid limits, I would like to add when it came to deving, he knew a lot more than 3% for a time when I tested for him and the Vette driving ex pilot from Texas…;)
Anyway, I sure won’t drop into inter forum member issues, for that I have my other forum hehe.
Cheers
Tom

I write this here in defense of Metalhead’s good name (He has no internet at this time) and to show disassociation from Nizmo.
We (BMS team) know that Shadow, do not worry. … but thank you anyway.

It was not for the BMS Team, I know what you known that you know what I did know ,now.
But I knew, when no one knew, until those that should know (but may have suspected) could be made to known with shore knowledge (proof).I know, I said too much again. :wfish:

The number of times you said “know”

Since we’re talking about Metal Head, how come his F-22 pit wasn’t integrated into 4.33? I was a bit surprised by that.

Integration may occurs only if and when the author offer it to the team, if is his original work and of course, if it comply with BMS recommendations.

It still needs work, Metel started building Himself a decent PC to work on, nice Mobo, i7, ram, PSU, case, but ran out of money for a GPU & monitor. Sadly He is still working on a 15" CRT and onchip graphics.
That has to hurt, and with the import restrictions/duties none of of us can help him except send cash which in that country is a dodgy activity too.
I see that He checks the Forums at times but He has to use His phone as a tether and thats expansive. -
Is MH in the U.S. or Europe?
If in U.S. maybe I can help out…

Copy all, thanks.

For whatever reasons that are none of my business, glad to see you doing your bit for Metalhead, Shadow. I’m sure he will appreciate it.

I believe he is located in Brazil.

I do not know what has been the conflict. Overall, I thought: If errors are by mistake I think they can apologize. If there is misconduct or fraud should not be admitted. I do not know which has been the case because I can not find the post closed.
Metalhead is doing a great job with the cab of the F22. I had the opportunity to work with an installer in the first version of the cab; although I am no expert installers he accepted my humble and imperfect input.
With so much workload I have in POH, I have not been able to help him maintain functional installer to new version cab F22. I’m sorry. In any case, I consider Metalhead a serious man and committed unequivocally to his work (we have seen the birth cabin from scratch in these forums). A job that will be for all. Thanks, Metalhead.

Brazil has heavy import duties, one of our group tried to send Him a vid card (from the US or Canada, cant remember which), and the local import duties would have meant Metel would have had to pay a near new price for the secondhand card to get it out of customs.
We had to give up.But His biggest problem is the Display, He works hard but Electronics are burdened with “duties” (tax) there.
Most of us have it easy.

I PM’d MH about a problem with his F-22 installation and he answered right away, solved my problem and was genuinely happy to help…
That’s unfortunate he has obsolete hardware, hope he gets it resolved soon.
I’ve got several used monitors and would donate one of them for the MH modernization project…
The F-22 is so close to being finished…dfang

I have two Eizos I would happily donate here, do these customs duties and taxes apply regardless of how old the hardware is? Most regimes apply a (lower) flat tax or tariff on stuff that’s just too old. Good thing about Eizos is even after 20.000 hours and 15 years they still beat 95% of current displays any day of the week.
Have no comment or educated idea about the thread in general, as far as I see the man’s work speaks for itself and he is in no need to justify himself in any way shape or form. All I can say is thanks for the contribution.

Perhaps somebody could pm his Paypal address so all of us could donate a few USD/Euro/AUX for conversion into his local currency.
