Ideal system for 4.33

Thank you for all your inputs!
@ Eagle-Eye: You are running almost the same Elements I took together for my research and reference for other PC-Parts like PSU, Housing and HDD. Thanks for your Reply! I’m a bit afraid of the 30-35 FPS at Kunsan. Is that in SP or MP?@Shadow: As you are handling an Intel even as a AMD-Fan, I’m very confindent on my choose of a Intel. Could you tell me, which one you run exactly?
I already have 10GB RAM 1600 DDR3 from my current System, I think it will be enough for the Start. What would you say about that?Have a nice Monday Guys, if Mondays can be nice [emoji14]

Mostly MP, but I don’t think there’s a big difference with SP. So far, the only time I brought my system to its knees entirely was when dropping a B61 over Seoul, reducing the FPS to 3 , but I’d have to do a Day 1 Campaign to get a realistic stress-test in busy environments. Maybe later today…
My PSU is a Corsair VX550W, by the way, and case is an Antec 300.A squadron member runs a 4K resolution + second monitor for extraction (not sure, but I think all on a single nVidia GTX 970 4G or 980 4G) at 15-20 FPS in poor weather, up to 30 in good weather, with (almost) everything enabled and maxed out. While testing Crimson’s VSR, I had similar results on my rig, but oddly, it doesn’t actually feel like such a low FPS-rate. It’s only when the FPS goes below 10 that you really notice the stuttering.

Alright thanks Eagle-Eye, MP is exactly my target. Sounds well. A Campaign Test would be really interesting if you have time

Just had a quick go at it.
SP, Rolling Fire, Day 1 takeoff 0610J at Kunsan, I got 8-10 FPS. At that moment there were only 12-ish aircraft taxiing, and a Patriot keeping watch. Once above 200ft and the airbase behind me, however, FPS went up to 15-20, with a peak at 30-35 at high altitude (FL250+). Then, at FLOT, it dropped down to an average of 15-20 again. At one point, when looking at two Mil Mi-8’s and a few KS-19’s through the TGP, it went as low as 10-12. In this flight, I did notice it stutters slightly, but it’s still very doable.
Unfortunately, I forgot to activate ACMI, so I can’t check how many units were around the FLOT, but AWACS kept chatting away, RWR was chirping continuously and FCR picked up contacts all the time so …

Alright, thank you Eagle-Eye!
But the FPS-Rates are not really that, what I try to achieve with a completely new set up
Should not go below 15-18 even in Kunsan with full Ramps. -
Only playing MP here, I have the following:
I5 4670k (no overclock) , 8gb corsair ram, gtx770 2gb.Runs very nicely, I have yet to check my fps, but it’s very smooth. This system is 2.5 years old.

Dont get fooled with memory speeds, you don’t get more fps 1800mhz vs 2300mhz …may get 1fps more
Just get cheapest memory and you are good to go.
Sorry haukka but I disagree.
I just recently changed the way I OC the i5 3570k I use, to keep the story short I also underclocked the CPU down to 3GHz and then back to 4.1GHz and testing in Falcon & 3dMark as I progressed.
Both programs showed negligible scaling, even taking into account the HD 7950 (R9-280/380) as a limiting factor driving a 32" 2560x1440 display.
However I did see a almost proportional performance benefit when taking my memory from 1600MHz through 1866MHz to 2133MHz. while maintaining timings @__CL 11-11-11__ (G.SKILL DDR3-2133 8GB Dual Channel [RipjawsX] F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL)
Until now I had only made a halfhearted attempt at OC, having left the Memory at 1600MHz.
These results were in a TE heavily loaded with AI units within 20nm (well over 500) at Kunsan with a default CCC & Falcon setup. So in this case it is the CPU and maybe to a lesser extent perhaps the display data transfer gaining a noticeable benefit.
With regards

GPU: MSI R7970 Lightning Boost
AMD Radeon Crimson settings:
_- Anti Alias: ignore game settings; 8xEQ standard filter, multisampling- Morphologic filtering off
- Anisotropic filtering: ignore game settings; level 2x,
- Quality texture filter: performance, optimize surface: on,
- Vertical sync: always on
- Tripple buffering: on
- Shader cache & mosaic mode: optimized for AMD

Extraction with BMS
- RWR & DED
Extraction with Lightning MFDE - a shitload of other stuff
(See here, then RWR & DED were also MFDE but for BAF MLU I now need specific RWR symbology and I like the realistic BMS DED font more)
Other software running (mostly for pit stuff):
- AIC

Wont help with falcon, i was 8gb and now i have 12gb = zero help.
Use some program to log your mem usage so you see it after playing.
