Having issues with cold start
-
Hey guys, i’m relatively new to BMS so this may or may not be a bug, but I follow the checklist and when I begin to try to start the engine my throttle doesn’t seem to want to apply fuel to the engine, yet I can see the throttle move in game with my x-52. Am I missing something stupid or bound something wrong?

RPM at 20 and did you idle cutoff? was Alt-i with the old keystrokes sorry don’t know the current.
-
I dont believe I did, When I saw the RPM get to around 20 and the light go out I tried moving my throttle forward with both my x-52 and with ingame controls and it still didnt seem to be adding any to it.

At 20 rock the throttle out of the idle (I usually go half power) and it alt I, then bring throttle back to idle. If you do it correctly the rpms will rise and you will hear engine spool up. Took me a bit to get it down, but it is the hardest part.

Thanks guys! I guess it wasnt a bug.

It’s still Alt-i, at least in the full .key file.
When starting the engine this way, I have to rock the throttle and activate the idle-cutoff switch several times before I get ignition.

There are numerous You Tube videos detailing how to handle the controls and features in 4.33 (quite a few from a fellow named Krause) that are excellent when used with the training/manuals. Ramp start is 1 of them. I suggest you look into them as well.

You can also set the idle detent in the UI Controllers section.
