Cougar and Warthog
-
I am currently running my pit with a Cougar with FCC3. I recently purchased a Warthog I plan on using from time to time. Has anyone had them both installed on the same system at the same time? If so, is there anything special I have to do? Or is it just a matter of installing the Warthog, and away I go?

I have both and did nothing special. Just another two controllers for the Warthog. Watch for the controller order changing though and messing up your BMS settings.

Yea, I was wondering if the BMS settings would have to be fixed each time. Not a problem as long as I remember to do it
Do you leave them both plugged in or do you unplug one when using the other?

I use a Cougar FSS/FCC3 and TQS/TUSBA-R2 combo set for BMS and WartHog set for DCS and IL2. Both controllers are plugged into my Win7 system via a data selector USB Switch box:
http://www.usbswitch.com/four-port-x-over-2-4-switch-usb-sharing.htmlI just push the buttons on the controller set I want, and deselect the ones I don’t. Since BMS only sees the Cougar set, I don’t have to worry about messing up the BMS controls assignments.
You can can do the same either-or controller set selection via Windows Control Panel Game Controllers GUI.

I have a Cougar and Warthog and leave them plugged in at all times. For BMS I use the Cougar TQS and the Warthog Stick. For stuff like IL2, DCS or FSX with multi-engines I use the Warthog TQS instead.
No resetting my key file or controller setting to use BMS is required.
