What's the "Captain's bars"?
-
For example,
●To use the autopilot, place the FPM on the 0 degree line, ensure vertical velocity is zero, and engage PITCH ALT HOLD (if using HDG SELECT, ensure the “captain’s bars” are set to your current heading before engaging the autopilot)
●If you want to use the autopilot for steering, rotate the horizontal situation indicator (HSI) “Captain’s bars” to the current heading under the lubber line, then select ROLL HDG SEL.Could anyone tell me what it means?

Ono,what I want to know is the origin of the “Captain’s bars”,so your answers were quite irrelevant. I think this term may derive from marine.

The heading bug looks like Captain’s Bars. That’s the origin.
…. so your answers were quite irrelevant. …
A bit rude for someone who is trying to help you. I’d say instead the question was poorly asked and darkman answered what you asked.
But, maybe it’s all just language differences, not any bad intent.

Sorry for my rush and carelessness,I hope Darkman won’t take offence.;)
East-West cultural differences, the difference between logical thinking.
