Cougar Button Assignments Changed by Windows 10
-
Recently upgraded to windows 10 64bit. My button assignments work flawlessly for the Cougar as long as my TM MFD bezels are not plugged in. Once I plug in my bezels, my buttons 1-56 now reside on the bezels and the keybindings for the bezels are now on my stick and throttle (meaning button 1 is no longer the trigger). I’m using the Dunc DX mappings and keyfile. I’m at my wits end trying to solve this. Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes. Once you have all of the USB devices in, and usually plugged directly into the PC, then you bind your KEY file to the DX settings. You’re going to have to test which DX buttons are assigned now to the Cougar, and both MFDs. When you do that, you need to then renumber them in your KEY file. Do you know how to modify the DX assignments in the KEY file in your USER/CONFIG directory?

Thanks for your help dawgboy. I do not know how to modify the DX assignment in the key file. Do you know of a tutorial or a utility to assist in updating the assignments?

Have a look at this thread: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?25545-Grounded-Thanks-to-Windows-10
You just need to change the order of your controllers in Windows.
