X55 mapping in game sometimes gets lost
-
I have my X-55 working fine in BMS for weeks. The suddenly it loses most of it’s keystrokes and I have to re map everything. Does anyone else have this intermittant issue? I test them in SST and or Notepad and the buttons are mapped to correct keys but in the game they get lost or corrupted.

Are you mapping the keys directly in the KEY file in your config directory, OR, are you using the Saitek program profile?

I used SST and the in game mapping to match as a double insurance. Issues with SST running and with it off.

No offense, but this sounds like a really bad idea …. one button, two (simultaneous) programs executing the call back. ??

Agree. Suggest not using SST at all.

Why are you using sst? Program the main controls in bms, then use the mode keys for different settings, ramp start, flight etc. Works fine for me

I’m using SST with 2 modes and no issues whatsoever!! Don’t know why everyone is having problems with it.

Because it cannot send DX signals, just keystrokes. So, 90’s level technology.
Then you run into issues with crossed signals from modifier keys. Then you run into BMS problems, with stuck modifier keys. Much easier to set up DX mapping. No crossed signals, no stuck modifier keys.

Can you recommend the best guide for the DX mapping as I have seen several around and have been a bit confused. Many thanks

Docs folder …. Keyfiles sub-folder. All the keyfile guidance one could wish for … And then some.
I prefer Kolbe’s keyfile spreadsheet.

Thanks - will look at it.
