Why some fighters do taxing canopy opend and some don't?

F-16, F-15 do taxing with canopy closed. F-4 does with canopy opened.
Some do or some don’t. why? I think recent fighters look like taxing canopy closed. -

For the F-16, the way the canopy is designed and the actuator is attached it recommended to taxi with the canopy closed. The system is just not strong enough to handle the aircraft movements while taxiing. If you look at the system, the canopy is only attached behind the seat, no other support, for the A version at least. It puts a lot of force on the hinges.

Most of it has to do with ground cooling efficiency. Most of the modern fighters with the higher pressure ECS packs don’t have the same issues.
