with new feature on ministick
Waaa! I want that! Nice info!!!

Space sim version of X-55.
I would still pefer X-55 for BMS, i.e. if the internals have not been not improved. Analog thumb axes on the stick are not very useful imho, 4/8 way switch is what we needed for BMS.
Perhaps the prices of x-55 drop now so a good moment to jump in. -
Just got it. There are two 4 way switches on the throttle, and three 8 way switches on the stick. However BMS don’t recognise the stick at all, only the throttle. Perhaps BMS is too “old” to support modern cotrols. Bugger for me, as I just switched the Logitech g940 for the x56. Great sim, but just too outdadet?
My deepest apoligies. my system don’t recognise the stick. So not a BMS issue I hope.’

So you’re saying under the controller setup in BMS the controller drop down menu only shows the throttle??
-
Having it replaced. There was a fault in the stick.
I will update you when I get the new one.

Being looking at this. Waiting for your response, Violator

X-65 / 52 / 56. strike 3 you’re OUT.
Quality and Price.
Do a YouTube search before you spend your money just because its new doesn’t mean its worth a dam. -
I’ve X52. No problem with mine tbh in 4 years. Quality? Yes, it’s not the best, it’s full of plastic and not so good to look at (ie Warthog is another planet, of course). And you must be a decent user to install/adjust their crap software and so on (some TS3 incompatibilities in the past, Win10 compatibility with former versions of software/driver, etc.). But quality/price ratio? Saitek wins hands down (at least X52, X55 has serious problems and costs much more). Warthog is way overpriced: look on Youtube at Warthog inside components and internal build quality and… meh, they don’t vail all that money.
-
Just got the x56, and it Works far better than the Logitech g940. No problems in BMS 4.33.1 so I am taking off:blowpar:
-
My X55 is worth a damn!! Extremely happy with it once I figured out how to use the SST. Glad I didn’t spend all that money on the Warthog. If you take good care of it, it’ll last you a long time no matter the build.
-
Just a quick question can you use x/56 software with the x/65
-
As far as I know, no.
-
Just finished the setup. No need to use the software, BMS recognises every button, hat and switch, so it is very easy to set it up in the BMS menu.
-
I don’t understand Saitek and what their goal is do they want to be the number one Hotas system ahead of TM or sit between TM and CH because they had a good thing going with the x-65f all they had to do is small modifications and a software upgrade and they win. But instead they backed off and stepped down and now youre doing a space sim funky crazy toy looking Thingamabob O.K.
I get that people see flight sims as games and the controls for those games as toys but those toys cost real money and when you made the x-65 you named it a PRO HOTAS and I had big hopes for that kind of development and what I see now is just cheap plastic
flashy paint old tech ( Springs ) and limited quality ( Cheap Switches ) and a business model that’s about the money but not your brand and I hope you rethink that -
Yup You are right. So just by something else:D
By the way this is a game for the Winter, when I don’t fly a glider

Can someone help me?
Buy the X-56 and I’m in trouble. I have all the buttons configured but when I am playing some porpoises they work alone, what can this be? -

Buy the X-56 and I’m in trouble. I have all the buttons configured but when I am playing some porpoises they work alone, what can this be?V, are you saying that sometimes you get uncommanded key presses( Ie: HOTAS does things without you telling it to)? If so, I recently had the same problem, such as the landing gear and canopy going up and down by themselves’. It only happened with certain call backs. According to my pc guy, it was a malware issue. There may have been other issues for me, but that might be a good place for you to start.
-
@Vipergb and drtbkj - It sounds like the same problem some of us had with the X-55. I personally resolved the issue by using a powered USB hub.
-
I have one myself and a x52, so either would work for me. although a note on the throttle hats, the one that is on the base of the left throttle only goes up and down unless I haven’t been pushing hard enough on the hat itself.
