Automatically pause the game
-
Hello
Does anyone know if you can set the game to the beginning of the mission is automatically paused stay?
Thanks for reading and responding.

If you had a locking joystick switch, you could set the pause to be on that button? Although I think the pause callback is a toggle, so that wont work…
I dont think its possible.

IIRC there is a Training-TE, which waits for the ‘p’-key?
Otherwise I’m wondering what the need could be for the OP? One second later pressing the ‘p’-key shouldn’t be that an issue…Reagrds

There is a way by using automatically loaded training scripts.
But they do only work for TE (.tac extension) and Training missions (.trn). Not in campaigns. The location of the mission file is usually “…\Data\Campaign\Save”
Just create a simple text file in the same directory and change the extension from .txt to .run.
The script file name must be the same as the missions file name it is created for, except the file extension, which is .run.Example:
YourTrainingMission.trn = Training Mission File
YourTrainingMission.run = Automatically started Training ScriptTE mission files have the .tac extension btw.
When the training mission or TE loads, Falcon will check for the existence of a training script file to go along with the mission.
For editing purposes a simple text editor can be used for that task.Open the script file with an editor and insert the following two lines:
SimCommand SimTogglePaused
EndScriptSave the file.
The next time you start the mission the script is built for it will start out in pause mode.
