Hi Ealrybite,
Yes!!! Your great shot represent my goal Now i know it is possible. I will try following your suggestion. TE Time and not flight time… probably is the key.
Thanks a lot. Ciao

Hi Earlybite,
I tried but there is something strange. I put C130H as my landing Flight. I run the TE and i measure the landing time at 20:38:16 seconds.
So at first i try to set my take off time (flight plan) at 20:36. In 3d the C130H doesn’t appear because was already landed (in effect from flight plan the landing flight had to be land around 20.32).
So i try to enter in the TE mission and from 2D UI speed the time to see what happen. And after 20:32 the C130H disappear from flight plan. I mean from the 2D TE see the flight plan, from the 3D not (20:38 landing time).
If i put my take off time 20:35 or earlier i can see the C130 but is too far from airport…if i take off too close to 20:38 (example take off at 20:36) i loose C130H from 3D.
Check mate for me …
Where i am wrong?
Thanks, Ciao

It would be great to add static objects like in DCS…. just saying. Meaby in the future…
-
Static objects?
-
Like buildings, soldiers, other planes, hamvies, red cones, etc etc.
-
Well You can.
The problem is they are not created.
There are many talented 3d modelers here and skinners. In case you don’t know how to produce them u could just give some photos or hints or reference and maybe someone will create them.
You could help more by giving as much details in dimensions as you can.
For example Janhas has made some in the past which was - are great and in some theaters they are implemented in airbases…So… which are those salt and pepper details?

@gundam:
Use 3D! Be in the sim, in your cockpit and see what when happens.
It will probably need several tries to get your best result.Regards

Hi Earlybite
Thanks for your help first of all… yes from 3d 20.38 c130 land. I will try to schedule take off of my fly but it is very difficult. Too early and c130 take 8 minuts to land…too late and c130 disappear once in my cockipit.
-
I mean add the objects with the TE. The objects aren’t permanent
-
Hi Trueno,
It’s about the point (2) in the thread. From answers i understood that it is possible but is necessary to work on campaign / TE files…and this action can corrupt multiplayer environment. In other words it is possible but not “planned” so with impact in terms of complexity to manage such TE.
-
@Earlybite, and All
Other night of try (about point (3): to make visible a landing flight while your flight is in a take off time…to make all more real…:) ).
No success. But i think i understood something more.
Use case:
In 3D from my cockpit i see that the C130H land on runway at 20:43. Consider that in flight plan the landing time was 20:37…so 6 minuts of difference between 2D and 3D…I try starting from taxy way. That starts 4 minuts before my flight plan (take off time). I cannot have a take off time (flight plan in TE) later than 20:40. With 20:40 i will appear in 3D (with taxy way option) 4 mintus before so 20:36 (before C130H flight plan landing time at 20:37 so i can see him!).
If for example i plan to take off at 20:41…with taxy way i will appear at 20:37…and no more C130H in 3D… game over. First to appear in 3D probably Falcon Engine check flight plan and decide which airplane has to be appear and not…maybe.
Now, with take off at 20:40 and in taxy way at 20:36 i have to expect till 20:43 to see the C130H approach the runway…too much…
Any suggestion very appreciaced. :drink:
Thanks, Ciao

Go with speed on the c130. The c130 is a slow mover, sorry don’t know it’s cruise speed. So observe and go with the speed on each stpt. This means lock speeds. 200-300 maybe, then observe the time. Get the time it says it will land. Save the TE and go near land time if you want to verify. Then create your flight in the TE. I believe it will work like a charm.
You can do the same from MC with lock times just give the time for the c130 to be a slow mover and not ask for an afterburner upgrade.

Hi Arty,
Thanks. I’ am not sure regarding actions i have to do. Actually i know exactly when the C130 will approach the runway, at 20:43 and some seconds. I see this waiting in my cockpit in 3D.
What do y mean with lock time of C130H?. In TE on flight plan i can lock time of each steer point of 130 Ok, but… why? Once i know the time the C130 will land the problem is which time i have to put to my flight for a take off while C130 approach the runway. At the moment i achieve to be in the cockpit 6 minuts before C130 Landing … is too much waiting… more close and i cannot see C130 in 3D anymore.
Sorry and thanks again for your help.

if your C130 lands exactly at 20:43 (seconds are not that important.) then your mission is not critical on time on target but on takeoff.
When you create the package it says Start at takeoff.
So adjust the time about 2 minutes before 20:43 like 20:41. This way you can take off before C130. Else select the first stpt and set and lock the time.
If you want it to make you wait or be at the edge set your Take Off time at 20:43. This way you will see it if you select Ramp, Taxi, for Runway you might not see it as maybe the code ATC will abort it’s landing or not allow your takeoff.
Now if you want to take off after the C130 then set your takeoff time at 20:44 or just a few secs after the exact C130 land time, here the seconds are important. This way you will not see it only if you select takeoff at the runway… you will see it taxi. So select taxi or ramp.Have in mind IIRC by default AI aircraft are visible only for 2 minutes after land-park.
When you select Taxi for takeoff you enter the cockpit (3d) 4 minutes before your takeoff time. If you select Ramp you enter the cockpit (3d) 20 minutes before your takeoff time. If select Runway you enter the cockpit (3d) right on takeoff time.

Hi Arty.
C130 land at 20.43 i see this in 3d. But its flight plan say land at 20.37 from 2d.
Now if a take off at 20.41 and select taxy i will appear 4 minuts before take off time so 20.37. In 3d i didn ’ t see anymore C130. Before to enter in 3d falcon see flight plan and not real 3d time. It seems to me….
Maybe i am wrong but with button eight i cannot see C130…

Obvious.
Look at the steer points of the C130 flight plan one by one. maybe some or one has the speed locked. then it will obey the speed and not the time.
So unlock all and lock the landing time of the C130. But this doesn’t mean that 100% it will land at that time. depends on the roles per stpt and how much speed it needs to cover the planned stps and the actions on each stpt. But since you see it in 3d land at 20:43 then what is your problem? set your takeoff time as I told you in the previous post. either directly at 20:43 or 1-2 minutes plus minus 20:43 according to what you want to do.

Don’t forget about the whole ATC.
As soon as you enter the 3D world, The C-130 will be in the air to get on time to the landing STPT. When it is inside 30nm of the airport, it will ask for landing.
Than the code will give the C-130 a landing slot-time and lets it start the approach according this slot time.
The slot time also depends on where you will get a take-off slot. And if it is a single or double runway airbase.WHat will help is taking a longer time for your taxi. You write that you use a 4min taxi time, extend that to 10min and you have a much much higher chance to see more traffic taking off and landing.
What is also nice to use at the same time, that you start to taxi from a parking spot or inside a shelter.Open your “Falcon BMS.cfg” with a notepad/text editor. you can find it in this directory “…DATA\User\Config”
Look for the line: set g_nTaxiLaunchTime 4
Change the “4” to a “10” and you will get to the 3D world 10 before your takeoff time.Als see if you have this line: set g_bRampTaxiStart 1
Most likely not, add it somewhere in the file so you can find it again, I have it completely at the top. (but can be anywhere)
This line will let you start at a parking spot or in a shelter when you use “Taxi” to go to the 3D world.
All in all this will give you a much nicer experiance.Gr Falcas

Yes I know that the C130 will land at 20:43 (in 3D not in 2D). The problem is that if i plan my take off at 20:43 or 20:42 or 20:41 when i jump to 3D world, the C130 for Falcon doesn’t exist anymore. No more C130 in 3D ……onlu my F16 in the taxy.
Falcon before to jump in 3D seems to look flight plan in 2D and doesn’t matter than in 3D C130 Would have to land at 20:43 (in my case the flight plan say 20:37 landing time for C130).
@Falcas,
very interesting. I will try to modify cfg file as suggested.I will let you know. This is a real battle for me. I am going to spend third night hours on this

Hi all.
Maybe could be useful to attach the TE where i am working on
Theater Balkan.
There are pther flights but the focus is on C130H and the couple of F16 Block 15.

Excuse me either I don’t understand or something is wrong here.
How is it possible u see in 3d the c130 land at 20:43 and the c130 is not there at all at that time and afterwards.
Those 2 can’t happen at the same time.
So either rephrase please to better understand you or something else is wrong here.
Are u sure on the same day? I mean day 1 both the c130 and your flight at 20:43
In Falcon time is 00:20:43:00 the two first zeros are the day.Sent from TapaTalk
