Falcon BMS - Other aircrafts avionics
-
Hello,
I’m building a universal fighter cockpit. It’s a bit like a hybrid between the viper and the hornet. Since bms is in my opinion one of the best if not the best combat jet simulator at the moment, my focus is on it, but want to use it with other sims too. That’s why I’ve done the universal way.
I like the F-16 really, but I like the other fighters just as well and to built a pit only for one aircraft and one sim was not the way I want to go. So I decided to do it this way, but it’s not easy cause most of the information you get about bms is focused at the F-16 itself. It’s a pain to find out which knobs and buttons in the F/A-18 for example are equivalent to the one of the F-16.
For example the F-16 has volume knobs for comm1 and comm2 in the side panel. The hornet seems to have them at the UFC or ICP, but are they exactly the same? I think so, cause there is nothing special for the hornet in the keyboard file, but I don’t know it.
I have no possibility to test it in the sim, cause my hardware in the pit isn’t running at the moment and my laptop (a thinkpad) has such a bad graphicscard, which is not able to run falcon bms.
So I want to ask if there exists a list which functions are designated to what in which aircraft. The keyboard list alone respectively manual don’t help a lot in this case.
Had watched numberless youtube videos about ramp start etc, but this is a work for years! And what it makes just a bit more puzzling is the fact that in some videos a few special functions descriped, that seem to be different from the stock F-16 in other aircraft. So is all based on the viper (in case of avionics - I know there are differences in the flight model or the nozzle for the harrier eg.) but only in a nother disguise or not?

O.k. have installed BMS on my son’s pc. Now I have what I needed. There was no way to install it on my laptop. Not enough free space nor the power to run the sim. The post could be deleted.
