DPRK Strong-Iron Fortress Campaign victory without meeting victory conditions
-
at the campaign end/victory I went back to campaign start screen which showed these conditions; clearly incorrect.
Backing all the way out of campaign I see correct conditions:
conditions state must retake Seoul; never even got close. Also noticed constant intel stating allies take the offensive immediately followed by allies pushed to defensive
weird.

I made a quick check in save1.tri file and I have no idea how could this happen…

I did destroy the vast majority of red ground units up to and past Seoul, and in between. The victory conditions include the text: “the north Korean army is dug in deep - you must penetrate their defensive perimeter”. This I accomplished leaving only AAA units alive. @molnibalage:

Also, the Russians never joined the fun. I did shut down all NK airbases except for Mirim and north/northwest of there.

Ground forces maybe did it?

Don’t think so as I had just started moving them forward and none where remotely close to Seoul yet. Maybe by destroying virtually every combat ground unit I removed the ground threat and therefore accomplished the victory condition without having ground forces occupy Seoul. Every ATO mission I had tasked myself in this campaign.@Arty:

the campaign scripting is literally magic and i’m unsure if even BMSdev actually understand how it works
perhaps there is a hook somewhere that dictates “if XX% of DPRK OOB is destroyed, then campaign = win” who knows

I don’t think so as in the past after destroying virtually every red ground vehicle and shut down every airbase and airfield it was not until I put tanks on South Pyongyang bridge did I receive the victory.@Cik:
