Logbook kills not given !?
-
as the manual explains Arty
But i have doubted that information as wellThe AA kills and AG kills are in the campaign box, so it should be pretty obvious that these lines refer to campaigns.
Carreer box is not tied to campaign only, but the campaign box isthat said, i’l love to see this changed and Have TE and campaigns account together and a special box for MP stats

well according to manual (BMS 4.33 MANUAL CHANGE 1.1 Page:214) :
“The Ace factor depends on your online combat versus other humans. If you don’t fly online against other humans your ace factor will remain at 1.0.”
Those are TE and Campaign. Right? I don’t see any note or declaration like “Note: medals are only awarded in Campaign.” .
So kills go to logbook and are accounted in the Ace Factor. So they go or not?

I can confirm that A-G kills on veterans gaming are not recorded correctly. Most destroyed vehicles show up as “damaged”, about 4/5 actually. I tested this by bombing to oblivion a 100% HART battalion full guns and trucks and got credited with 2 kills when there we’re ~25-30 to begin with. I obliterated that battalion, but nearly every gun/truck was listed as “damaged” in the debrief. Then, the map showed only 2 units left: a truck and an AK47, which reflects what I really did.
This goes for all weapons, even AGM65s only damage. I usually take 6 and get two kills, and damage 4. It IS annoying, but the units DO disappear back in the 2D world so it’s all for the greater good for the online campaign.
A-A kills and static kills are recorded accurately, though.

I can confirm Buschwick’s observations in BfB 1.0.5 in MP / online missions.
All the best, Uwe

The Ace Factor is calculated for kills against other humans in the dogfight mode of BMS, not Campaigns nor TEs

Well read the manual and enable the setting which logs even every bullet you fire.
About the A-G kills now… maybe it’s a database thing. Like it got away from the theater creator.
Maybe you don’t see them cause there is no damaged model maybe?
But you say you see this in 2d meaning after the mission in debrief?
Have you witnessed the same in Vanilla=Stock Korea theater? -

Well it’s not in the manual…
So TE’s results don’t go to logbook at all.

So TE’s results don’t go to logbook at all.
Precisely, you don’t earn points towards your next rank, you don’t earn medals for doing a good job and you are not awarded with any kind of kills. They only contribute towards your total flight hours.

But you say you see this in 2d meaning after the mission in debrief?
Have you witnessed the same in Vanilla=Stock Korea theater?I don’t see them because they are gone. The campaign recognizes that I’ve destroyed them, and the recon screen reflects this (100% status down to single digit % with the 2 units left for the example I gave earlier). 2000lb bombs don’t damage trucks and artillery pieces with direct hits. They are craters in the 3d world….gone.
Then, after I exit out, the debrief shows a fraction of my kills, with everything else “damaged”, but they are gone on the map and in the recon screen.
And it IS the stock KTO on veterans gaming. I think you meant single player; In single player it works perfectly. Frag a mission to take out a few HART sites and you will get a medal with your 50 kills.
I’ve flown 4ship CAS’s on VG with the entire flight netting 3 kills in the debrief after we’ve left burning columns as far as the eye can see. It’s a bug in BMS online campaigns or a bug with VG, but I’m will to bet it’s a BMS thing because of the experience mentioned earlier about it being identical on BFB.

Nope I meant mp not single flight. You said it all I believe.

It is a known concern that when a campaign is being hosted and in this example Veterans Gaming… if the host server is not in 3D in the cockpit or “3D Dead” human pilots will have damages recorded even though they saw ground kills go up in flames.
You’ve heard of Arma-physics… this is an example of Falcon-physics

I’m very sorry for resurrecting this thread, but we have exactly the same problem and it’s driving me nuts. This is the first sign of someone else facing the same issues.
At least I was able to reproduce this problem through hours of tedious testing. Our Server is in 3D and we’ve tried it on different physical servers.
Did you ever find the exact cause of the problem?I even had this problem when I used my Laptop as the server - next to my flight PC over 1GB LAN - so no bandwidth restrictions in my test setup.
Cheers,
SP
