The filename was wrongly typed by me. Sorry.
I edited previous posts.
Just have Falcon closed.
Delete particlesys.ini
Load falcon. The code automatically generates particlesys.ini.
Close falcon run my mod.Sent from TapaTalk

If there is no particlesys.ini run falcon.
If you close falcon it must be generated.Sent from TapaTalk

You should be able to install 4.33 on any fixed drive.
-
Ty Cougar….just tried that…started game and still no pariticalesys.ini was generated
Do you have a backed up copy of your original you could e-mail me?
-
No need m8. As you run my mod it should create a folder iirc inside user folder
C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\Patches
or
C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\where inside resides the files of the patch.
In there must be the files
particlesys.ini.orig
and
particlesys.ini.newparticlesys.ini.orig is the falcon default particle ini file.
particlesys.ini.new is the moded one by me.each time you enable disable the mod it just changes those files and some dds files.
-
Ok just found those folders in the users patch…. only original is in there not the particalsys.new. why my searches came up blank…i’ll never know
What should i do now… Strike that…found the new one…its in the alleffects folder
-
well copy particlesys.ini.orig
to
C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Terrdata
rename it to
particlesys.ini
you are ready.
-
Ok i’ll try that gimmie one sec
-
Still not working still getting same message as earlier
-
Its ok Arty…i’ll just fly without it, would have loved to have seen it with Sweetfx Thank for all your help!!!
-
Most probably your folders - files are write protected.
from file explorer right click on falcon folder and select properties. make sure read only tick is white inside. select apply - ok it will ask you to apply the setting to subfolders and files. Select ok.
Or something else I can’t think off right now.
is your user account administrator?
U can uninstall and re install the mod.
I believe I have and a readme on how to perform it.

Funny thing just happened i put the NEW ini in the terradata folder along with the Original INI… And now im getting the green tracers and flares from ur mod!!! Crazy because if i try and install through ur exe….im still getting that message…but its working so im not gonna complain.
is there a way to change the color of tracers from green to red?
-
well the most troublesome for me is that falcon doesn’t auto generate the particlesys.ini file when you delete it.
This means clearly that something is wrong with your system.
On the other hand this (auto generated particlesys.ini) could be changed in 4.33.1 and I didn’t notice it.
