Unable to engage Nose Wheel Steer after ramp start in Israeli F-16's.
-
Is there an extra step to engaging the NWS in the Israeli aircraft that don’t exist in other blocks? I can ramp start any other aircraft and press MSL Step to engage NWS, but for some reason I cannot for the life of me figure out how to engage it from the ramp start with the Israeli aircraft. It works fine however in the Taxi and Runway starts, which is why I’m inclined to belive it’s a startup error on my part.

Key mapping?
-
As I said, it only happens when i pick the ramp start option. If i start from the taxi or runway then it works as it should. I’ve tried to re-map the key but it didn’t make any difference.

Confirm Batt Switch to Main Pwr?
-
What do you mean when you say it works as it should? When you select taxiway to start the NWS is already enabled. You’re then able to disable and re-enable it freely using missile step?

That’s what I ment yeah. Seems to have fixed itself when I turned off the pilot model tho. Doesn’t make any sense as I am 100% sure I did the exact same startup procedure with the model as without. Spent a good couple hours testing yesterday because it made no sense and I could remember starting the jets just fine in 4.32.
Oh well…

ok this is a long shot but- check your fuel door is not “open” I found when returning from A2A refuelling I left the fuel door open and could not engage NWS - you might have a key map conflict that opens the refueling door when you do a RAMP ?
If that don’t work just ignore the fat bloke in future ;0)

Good to know this in advance, sir. +1.

I’m betting you clicked on the alternate landing gear handle when attempting to close the canopy. Side effect of alternate landing gear extension is to deactivate the NWS.
