Change Look Closer (L) distance?
-
Is there a way to make the look closer function not zoom quite as far? I’m using it as a mapped fucntion on my mouse so I can quickly look roughly at a panel, press one button to turn off TIR, a second to look closer, so I can easily press switches without straining my neck. The problem is that it zooms in too far.
Can I change the value?
Also, in wide TGP, the cursors are very sensitive. Is there a way to slow the movement without affect FCR slewing?
Thanks!

Entering tracking mode in the TGP should help with the slewing speed.

I haven’t read up in detail yet, but is that TMS up for point?
-
Yes, TMS Up for point track and TMS Right for area track.

The FOV change by “L” is a hardcoded value. It cannot be changed as per the manual.

Seems like it can be changed. I found a file.
Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Sim\Acdata\TGPDATA\default.dat
$WIDE_FOV 3.6
$NARROW_FOV 1.0
$EXPAND_FOV .334
$TV_FOV 0.5I have not tested this yet because i don’t want to change it. Just found when browsing acdata.

Sorry guys, I’d forgotten I’d posted this. I need to take a look at the keyfiles and also the zoom. Currently, the only zoom I have is the fixed L and FOV via the mouse wheel. I remember in other versions of F4, Num 7 and 1 would zoom in and out in chase view etc. It was really for zooming in with that then changing the FOV with the mouse. It would give some really cool perspectives for screenshots.
I’ll dig around the keyfile and manuals to see how they now work. I seemed to remember seeing it was the same physical key, but with num lock off (otherwise the numpad operates the ICP), but it didn’t do anything in the sim.
