Skin Issue

All knowledgeable skin gods:
So I modified some standard IAF desert skins (top fuselage and wings) for our 20th VFW ITO campaign so our jets could have a cool paint job. All well and good. Then modded the 50th anniversary 20th FW skin by janhas to give us a camo tail. Looking at the DDS file you can obviously see that the camo job is there. Problem is, is that when you are zoomed out the camo is missing, but when you zoom in its there. Anyone know what im doing wrong here? I have a feeling its something in the way that i saved the DDS but cant be for certain.
I attached the DDS, and the two different zooms so you can see what im talking about.

SLAPDid you use different dds numbers or did you use the ones already attached to that aircraft??

When i modified the IAF skins to be USAF and then camo’d the janhas tail, i chose DDS numbers in the obj folder to overwrite one of the block 50CM skin sets, specifically one of the Spandalehm sets. Then in MC I set the squad to use that specific set.

Ok. Check the other LODs for that model. If you see the skin correctly when you are close to it but it switches when you moving away from it, LOD 2, 3, 4 and maybe 5 need to have the tail number changed to the tail number you are using in LOD 1.

Something to do with mipmaps not updating?

Check if there is a same-number-dds to the hires folder…

Raptor, also replaced the same numbered dds file in the hires folder.
Cougar, I replaced the entire four tail numbers for each skin set dds files with the camo tail. -
I have too experienced this during Ikaros sq development and found it with JanHas help. You have probably made something wrong in the LE, check the Textures Set vs the actual textures in node root > lod texture data. I had set wrong values and had the same issue when plane was moving away and lod2 kicked in.

Cougar, I replaced the entire four tail numbers for each skin set dds files with the camo tail.You have to make sure you change the numbers for the other LOD files that go with that model if you change the DDS numbers.
