AGM-65D VIS Mode

Guys, you are speculating too much
Mavericks are more strict than 4.32 and previous versions, but simply because that’s how the real system work, you wanted real so this is real. However, with a steady cross, BSGT OSB in MFD and in-range, I don’t see a reason for the missile to miss, doesn’t matter in which submode. If you are getting weird misses, please record a vid and let me see it, thanx!
Regev Shana Tova and happy Holiday to you too
BTW are you a member in Preflight? i.e www.preflight.us ?

No, is that site connected to an israeli virtual squadron or just a sim forums ?

Sim forums. Obviously there are some virtual squads members around (including me for example…) but the site itself doesn’t belong to any virtual squad.

Thanks I

@Cik:
mavericks seem very sensitive now to roll
you have to drop them like bombs more or less; use the ASL to align nose-on and as perfectly level as you can get, and try then.
You are over exaggerating

I actually belive that it is not.
It seems to be realistic for me.Before BMS 4.33.1 i used to DCS-A10C Mavericks. In DCS they was sometimes missing but generally it was a random thing and was not based on human action.
In DCS you could fire Mavericks with high off boresight angles and they was hitting targets nicely. You could even blow up airplanes like Su-25T with them.
It was a crazy thing in DCS, i was preatty sure that ED didn’t modelled them realistically or even worse, they turned them into anti helicopter weaponIn BMS 4.32 Mavericks was preatty easy to fire, it was hard to screw MAV launch.
Now in BMS 4.33 and 4.33.1 everything changed. Now MAVs behave like… …MAVs
It’s easy to actually screw the launch but it seems to be realistic for me.I wasted many MAVs before i started to get some good hits without wasting half of them.
Now i care mostly about 2 things. To do not fire them off boresight. And to fire them in stable flight. You must stabilize aircraft quite well before firing or you will probably screw the launch. This is often forgotten by the people. -
Also, if I may, don’t (realistically) try to launch more than 2 in one pass. You’re not supposed to have many more of them, anyway.

Because nobody needs lau88 during peace time
I am preatty sure that Americans will remind tmenselves that they have lau88 as soon as serious war come. So hopefully not too soon…
AFAIR its still possible to carry them IRL, its just not used option. Much like nuclear weapons anyway…
This does not means that there are no nukes and no lau88 in the world…And i am not sure how many lau 117s can be carried. I hears that some F-16s can carry up to 4 of them while other ones may carry only 2. It probably depends on variant.
And what about dual 117 on single pylon and with digital link? Not sure if it ever been tested on F-16 but here you have one: http://www.midkiff.cz/obj/firma_produkt_priloha_140_soubor.pdf

O.K guys, i found what the main reason for missing the targets at high rates.
I was flying the f-16 level and stable but most of the times the cross on the WPN page was flashing . . . no good.
Once, i drop my nose for a few degrees and the cross imidiatlly was stable, and the -65D hit the tgt.Next -65’s all hit the targets with nose down \ cross stable \ in DLZ range.
Another thing that i found is the motor time of the -65D until it is destruct itself in mid-air . . . 105 seconds
Cheers.

Yes, correct attitude is very important. As i mentioned above you cannot fire MAV with high off boresight because of its guidance system limits.
This was not modelled in DCS and in previous BMS (4.32) but now its very important thing. In the manual you can see a section describing thing called “keyhole”. You must keep the cross inside a “keyhole” if you want to fire.
