4.33U1 Noticable decrease in performance
-
On the contrary 4.33.1 or 4.33.2 is a lot better in performance (fps) than 4.33…At least from my point of view
Same here, and with a mediocre gfx card… Radeon HD 65xx

It is due to a fix committed in the 4.33.2 on purpose.

Thank you for your reply. I just updated my nvidia driver, no effect. I will try the secons link and set up that NVI profile. Has anyone noticed a performance drop when updating to U1? When I go back to base 4.33, it is smooth as silk.
I thought I had read a thread not too long ago about someone with a 1080 and an strong system (i7, etc.) having performance issues. I don’t recall the solutions (if any). Have you searched “1080” and “FPS” or “Performance”?
-
Not sure what this may be related to, however after updating to U1, and using the same exact graphical settings as the base 4.33, I am experience less than what I would describe as stuttering and more of a decrease in FPS/ graphical performance. Running two 1080 GTX’s in SLi and a 4.9Ghz core i7 4790. Could someone politely point me in the right direction to fix this?
Disable SLI, reduce your CPU OC. Many seam to have problems with even single 1080s.

I understand it may be related to high end cards or maybe even SLi, however I absolutely do not have the same issue in 4.33. Are the changes in U1 significant enough to affect performance?

I am running a pair of 900 series Titan X in SLI on an OC’d Skylake CPU. That in and of itself is not the issue as update two runs great for me.

Maybe with 1xxx series nvidia is starting to say bye bye to DX9?
Also the driver is new and maybe focused to new things thus performance issues with dx9? -

Again, a “It works OK for me” post doesn’t help the poster fault find with His particular Software/Hardware.

To the contrary it SPECIFICALLY addressed the posters guess of “high end” cards or SLI being the issue as I have and use both with U2 with no issues.

I have exact same problem on my rig (i5-4460 / gtx 970) - with identical settings bms 4.33 shows 60 fps and is really smooth while bms 4.33 U1/ U2 / U3 shows 60 fps but is not smooth at ALL - more like a 30 fps performance instead of the 60 fps indicated by fps counter. I tried everything i could with no result. Now I only play vanilla bms 4.33 with no updates. If you figure out what is going on please share.

davidzill - I don’t know if you still have this problem but - thanks to him - Arty gave me solution in his “hot list” :
with bms 4.33 U1/U2/U3 - at least on my rig (win10 i5 4460 gtx970 16gb) - the game needs to be launched in window mode with no bordure (procedure in BMS-manual.pdf chapter 3.2.5)
so add suffix -window to command line (target) of the bms U1 shortcut, and than launch it and in “cockpit display extractor” choose “main” display and uncheck “borders”
result is exact same thing as fullscreen when in flight but without any stutters and with perfect smoothness.
