ICP Tumbwheels
-
Excellent work there!
Where did you get those thumbwheels? Made yourself? -
Thumbwheels are part of the Hispapanels ICP package.
-
It seems that the new Hispapanels ICP looks better than the old one! Good! Question for Doc78. What do you used for the DCS Shaft?
-
Ok, definitely I’ve the old one.

Me too. But the new one is already at home! I’ll post some shots of the product asap. Than some pics about my work and the project.

I did use a 5mmx5mm acrylic square staff.

BlackGio, is there any differences in thumbwheel thickness between old and new ICP set?
My thumbwheels are about 5mm thick. -

My thumbwheels are about 5mm thick. The Thumbwheels I received are also about 5mm, I think the originals are about 8 mm……
I also received most of the part so today I started with the dobber (DCS) switch. Started out with a bolt and filed it down until I had a square shaft.
I sawed of the head and put it on 4 way switch.
Happy the way it looks

Ok, maybe I’ll ask Hispapanels, if they sell one set of thumbwheels separately.
Good work there Blackgio, and useful pictures too! Especially I’m interested, how to mount those thumbwheel pots. Doc78’s way to mount those is inventive too. -

I used a flat file (lima?), a hacksaw, sanding paper, patience, some old fashion handiwork and a little bit of sweat

Hi guys! I’ve finished to wire all the contacts, i’ve mapped all the buttons. It works perfectly!!! Now i have to realize a new ICP box and the backlighting. Tomorrow i’ll post some shots!

Here you are some pics (i’m at work now… late other more detailed photos). I’m not very happy by the looking of the wheels. They are a little too large (10mm) but they can go… for now

Good job Gio! The wheels are a bit to wide indeed. Maybe you can sand one on each position halfway down. I know somebody with access to a 3D printer and will ask him to make new wheels for me. Still have to do that….
Did you glue the button-pieces together? And if so what kind of glue did you use?
I can’t really see if you painted the side of your buttons, I plan to paint then gray.
But like I said, good job!Send from my Xperia X using Tapatalk
