Anyone else have this crashing issue?
-
I had simular problems and I found out it was not directly BMS related. I noticed when checking my hardware after a CTD on ending a mission my Warthog throttle showed a yellow exclamation mark. After I downloaded the latest drivers and installed them the problem never occurred again. It’s a long shot but other than that it points out the cause might be not BMS.

There is a similarity with Calicrook and Habu_'s rigs.
They both are running dual GPU’s? Maybe a clue there??

that’s a good thought I can start on, I’ll try taking it off SLi and seeing if that fixes anything with it. Sometimes turning the tog on makes the world textures flicker so I was thinking that had to do with sli as well

Let us know how it turns out. Might wanna delete the dx9dislpay.dsp in your User>Config folder also. It will regenerate upon launch of BMS.

Interesting. I use the second GPU solely for displaying instruments on panels 2 and 3. I will try deleting the dX9display.dsp, as well. I should add that I have used this setup for several years and not had the CTD issue until recently. Also no issues with “Other” flight sims. Could be updated Nvidia driver or BMS or ?

In your case it could possibly be the dx9display.dsp, with you dealing with multiple displays. Give it a shot.

have you been recording ACMI files if so delete them then try again
-
Heres just an update with my crash log, also on my above post I meant tpg not tog lol
-
Yep, both of you are getting the same crash!!
Did you already delete the dx9display.dsp file and try??
The only big difference in rigs is, OS, he’s on W8 and you’re on W10.

So I tried it out, disabled sli and deleted what you told me to delete and I was able to fly for a solid hour which hasn’t happened before! Definitely think it was a sli issue although I still sometimes get the flickering world when turning on the TGP.

You’re gonna get that, it has to do with the textures, been an issue in Falcon for years.
It was probably a combo of SLI and the file. Not real sure about SLI, don’t have 2 GPU’s here.
Glad it’s sorted, now go throttle your throttle some more!! haha
Hopefully Habu_ is sorted also.

Nope. I have been running a pair of Titan X (M) in SLI for years without a crashing issue.

Not that simple sadly. I am running Titan X in SLI on 378.66 drivers without any crashing issues.

I wasn’t blaming the dual GPU’s at all. If you read my post, I stated possibly a clue. And if you read my post as soon as he said it’s was straightened out I said I wasn’t sure about the SLI as I don’t have it. My feeling were leaning toward the dx9display.dsp file.
But you can’t just say straight out no about the possibility that it could not without a doubt be dual GPU’s running in SLI.
All rigs configurations are totally different. Two people with the EXACT same rig specs will also be different in performance. No two system will run the exact same way. So there may always be the chance that someone running 2 GPU’s in SLI may have an issue when it comes to running BMS or any other software for that matter.
I’m not saying that to be totally true at all, I’m saying there is a possibility and the best approach is to rule everything into the equation of troubleshooting and root them out one by one.
You also say it’s not that simple when it comes to drivers. While that may be true on your rig, it may not be true on all other rigs.
