FA-18 Canopy Issues & Flame Out
-
If anyone has some insight why I get a canopy malfunction at 26,000 feet in the FA-18 that would be great. If I stay at that altitude, the engines give out and have to restart mid air. This only happens if I ramp start.

Shasta, I’ve had this happen a time or two, but only above 28-30K. I never had a flameout from it, but then I didn’t stay at altitude. NATOPS says stay below 25K. If memory serves, I also cycled the bleed knob to off then back to norm(that last form the Viper Cabin Pressure failure checklist).

Maybe auto failure switch is on in cfg?

One click on the Air Source knob at ramp start. Should point L, irrc. That solves the canopy warning.
