A question about control programming
-
Hi all,
I have been looking through the forum, but couldn’t find an answer:
Is it possible to mix keyboard (shift, ctrl and alt) with joystick controls? My example of choice would be i I could for example bind right shift + POV hat binded as the radar cursor.

Nope, modifier keys dont mix with directX inputs.
You can have modified keyboard inputs (I vs Shift + I) and you can have shifted DirectX inputs (using one {or more} buttons on your stick as a shift key) but you cannot mix and match.

Hi,
you can try this macro tool:
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?19380-Livrot-Mic-Command-Preview-Release
Just use a command list with hotkeys set to ‘low level’ and record the shift press + DX button and hold down both until the recording stops ( see taskbar icon ).
You wouldn’t need any phrases as it would only be a commandlist triggered by your ‘low level’ hotkeys. Using the full version you could trigger every BMS keyboard combination.
Better wait until next week, though. Then the tutorials for this program should be ready.Livrot

OK, just checked and the only way to make this work is to use modifier keys all the time because the joystick
button events can not be eaten away from the input stream at the moment - apart from having a small problem when loading the profile again using low level hotkeys. So if you would hit shift + trigger it could start another command but it would also fire the gun.
But if you use the joystick only together with modifier keys it would work.
Maybe in some future time …
sorry for the confusion.

Hmm too bad, just gonna need to make due with the current commands for it, would have made it faster my way, it’s like that for me in Lomac.
